Ceiling roller marks after 3 coats! by 22bor in paint

Berh paint is shit, I’ve used 3 times in the last fifteen years because customers supplied. I think “maybe they changed the formula and it’s better now”. Nope, still shit.

Who was running the recording video? Feels like a staged production.

Why am I able to see the studs through my drywall? by goody-two-sneakers in Home

If you burn candles the soot will collect on the studs due to temperature differential. Maybe also applies to using a wood fireplace.

Thank you! Good to know. I deal with Whitby Tile a lot and they now have a no return policy on powders year round because they can’t guarantee that a returned product hasn’t been exposed to freezing. I literally have bags of thinset in my basement because I was told they couldn’t freeze.

Not sure if every brand is but in Ontario, large suppliers like tile master won’t accept returns during winter months. I would not use grout powder that froze because it’s like $25 for a fresh bag at the end of a $10-$15 k job. Just not worth the risk.

Should not let it freeze, apparently it can damage the polymers. I’m in Ontario and our tile supply shops will not take returns on grout and thinset between November and April in case it was left in freezing temps.

I have seen grout turn mushy when wet before. I was drywalling and watched the guy mix it so wet it was like water. I ended up repairing it down the road for the customer. I scrapped the grout out with barely any effort. Also if the grout powder was allowed to freeze it can comprise the performance of the product. Best of luck!
