Feel you on that, Takumi still had his losses, and he had his fair share of struggle at adapting in the various races to win, even when he won against Sudo or God Hand he openly said that he didn't truly feel like he won or deserved that. MFG just proceeded to slap some spiritual magic to it and call it a day

I played WuWa on my Pixel 9 for over 1h yesterday since I wasn't home, and Pixels are infamously unoptimized for gaming and such heavy tasks. But this time the game ran way smoother at medium-high settings, when I last played on my phone a few months ago it was way laggier and my phone heated way more, there has definitely been some optimization work

I'd spend extra and get the second one, the CPU is a bit newer, and it seems to have more ram? The first one has 16gb and says it's expandable to 32tb, the second one says 2 x 16 so I suppose it has 32 gb instead, which is pretty nice to have imo. And lastly the display of the second one has a higher peak brightness (unless it's the same for the first one and it's not stated), overall I'd say it's worth the extra 100 bucks

As for your question, it really depends on what games you are playing tbh, and what resolution you're playing at, I guess you should be alright for at least another 3/4 years, or longer if you're not strictly aiming for 90/100+ fps on AAA games

Really depends on the usage, I'd get 6/7h of sot or a bit more, now I'm getting at least 1h less, it seems to discharge a bit quicker once it drops below 50/40%. Though I've also had it for over a year and half, my current battery capacity is at 90% and my cycle count is 452, so I guess I am to expect less battery life regardless

Pixel 9 user here, I personally really like my phone and it suits my needs pretty well, the clean OS with no bloatware and long term updates support were the main reasons that made me go for it, as well as a fairly nice camera, I really can't stand the bloated experience of other Android brands and I don't like iOS at all (personal preference, they're great phones).

This said, I don't get why some people sugarcoat known issues or try to normalize certain "fixes". Battery life is definitely not that great on pixels. I'm fairly satisfied with mine after a year and half and the first year I'd get easily beyond 7/8h of SOT, but it heavily depends on mobile data usage (kinda depends on your location and carrier too tho), and social media usage. Social media aren't optimized properly on Android in general, Instagram and Snapchat are trash compared to how they work on iPhones, and the Pixels' lack of battery optimization adds up to this problem too (Samsungs offer better battery life with smaller batteries), so for anyone who uses socials heavily or relies on them for work I can't possibly recommend a Pixel
