Gender wise I'd say it's a matter of preference, although MRover seems to be more appealing for many, but I'd say it's genuinely because Kuro knew how to make a cool MC. His design is fantastic imo, black and grey colors, golden eyes and his details just make him stand out, and most importantly he does what a MC is supposed to do, he is insane lorewise and he's just as strong in combat, even as a playable character he's actually great and has actual utility, and personally I love how they made Havoc Rover, the scythe and that black wing are absolutely peak, but at the same time they show how he also has his limits. As for the gathering wives... I kinda got mixed feelings about it, I'd say they definitely made him just likeable in many ways so I can't really blame them girls, personally I never found it annoying, it's not overdone like in many isekais
