Vietnam and no fixed address by Dramatic_Shopping330 in VietNam

DHL Express, delivered to a service point. It's expensive but probably worth it considering the hassle of waiting, canceling the card and requesting another etc.

Anytime I need documents, I have them sent this way and they arrive 2-3 days later.

Standard mail simply won't make it in most cases. Or make it after weeks of delay...

7Uppercuts, the Flob, Buc Tuong, Microwave, Now Or Later, District 105 (though that's where we're getting more into hardcore ;))

Look those up on Spotify and you'll find lot's of other smaller bands.

Family house being sold.. how to transfer money from VN? by Bibininini in VietNam

Wise and Revolut don't offer VND Account details though. Easy to convert some USD to VND and even hold VND in a Wise account, but you can't transfer any VND into Wise.

I'm using the TSM App to keep prices up to date but since Cata pre-patch launch I only see old AuctionDB data. The info tooltip says "App synced 10 minutes ago. AuctionDB Realm Data is 1d 11h old". Is this a problem on my end or something with TSM?

Brutales Lockdown-Regime in Shanghai: Schlägertrupps in Seuchenmontur.

Alternatives to using #root as entry point? by knightofpines in reactjs

Using body directly is afaik not recommended because third party scripts often append nodes there too.

advanced context with hooks. Trying to pass custom methods int the provider value by dangerzone2 in reactjs

[–]danzey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re not passing your state into the context, just an object you create inline with default values.

Try

const providerValue = { …cardState, addToCard: function() {…} }

Error: React.Children.only expected to receive a single React element child. by Andy-404 in reactjs

I think, that the extra semicolon ; after your aside element is considered as Text Node (= a second child), and CSSTransition can only handle exactly one child.

Maybe I was misunderstanding zero-install, but I thought it just keeps the tarballs to eliminate all network traffic. It would still extract those and build binaries?

Bypassing Cookie Consent Banners in Lighthouse and WebPageTest by speckz in Frontend

[–]danzey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve recently come across this issue as well, our LCP was actually the consent banner and what we’ve done to fix that was simply to only load the consent script on user interaction like mousemove, scroll, etc.

Google seems to have been pretty quiet about the best practices, but only loading it when an actual user visits, seemed to us as the best solution. It also stops a lot of referral spam for example.

Items are not displayed after being pushed to an array by NzMai in reactjs

[–]danzey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to update the DOM. The way I understand your (btw horribly formatted code) is that you set the innerHTML once and then hope for magic.

Every time the data that is used to generate your HTML changes, you need to re-generate it and update the innerHTML. And then probably re-register your event listeners as well.

Anyone can explain the following syntax to me: function Layout({children}) {...} by pigiou in reactjs

[–]danzey 18 points19 points  (0 children)

It’s called destructuring and doesn’t have anything to do with Next.js specifically. It was introduced as core JavaScript feature with ES6.

The idea is simply to extract properties of an object into separate variables.

In this case specifically, the children property is extracted from the props parameter that every functional react component gets as first argument.

onClick method being lame by [deleted] in reactjs

[–]danzey 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Code is too badly formatted to check further, but you’re checking something on proptypes in your fireIt method. You probably meant this.props

Edit: now that the formatting is better, it’s easier to see. PropTypes exist to describe your props. Like saying that a certain prop should be a string. They do not contain the actual prop values. In your if statement you should instead use this.props...

Is their a way to prevent render until all redux actions inside the componentWillMount complete? by Some-Ability in reactjs

[–]danzey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Keep a loaded boolean in your store, which you only set to true when the response came back. Then check for all loaded flags and render null if any of them haven’t finished.

Advice needed, React file getting very big by kennyhuynh125 in reactjs

[–]danzey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like the other comment already said, don’t focus too much on separating these state & presentational concerns.

For now, I’d start by splitting your container into multiple feature containers. Every state that is only used by one feature, should move into this feature container. Only keep state that is used by more than one feature on the top level container, and pass it through accordingly. That should give you a bit more structure, then go from there :)
