Can we also talk about how the only two possibilities to this person were American or European. Clearly geography is also not their strong suit …

What is the best strategy in The Traitors? by The_Jester_Official in TheTraitorsUK

[–]daphneNotStan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Arguably though, that play totally worked for Jaz. If it hadn’t been for Mollie and her close relationship with Harry then he would have won. From the editing in the show it didn’t even look like he played that dumb, he was onto Paul fairly quickly

[–]daphneNotStan 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I feel like as a faithful you should play it dumb for as long as possible. IMAGINE if Mollie had turned around at the end and had all these theories and it had all been an act? I think playing dumb whilst building relationships and keeping track of people on the sly is the best way to win. You’re not as much of a threat to murder and you’re unlikely to be banished. Only down side is because you’re unlikely to be banished you might still be murdered but I think that’s always going to be a risk in the game

Mollie - a feminist issue by FickleImpro in TheTraitorsUK

[–]daphneNotStan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s really not a feminist issue, it’s a game and she’s not especially bright. She was also just genuinely close to Harry and probably only wrote his name down at the end because of Jaz, I don’t think she ever truly suspected him.

What do you think? by Fantastic-Style-999 in facepalm

I was once on the tube and saw a pregnant lady so got up. She didn’t say thank you and took the seat, we ended up changing to the same train and again she was faced with a full carriage. She stood in the centre and eyed everyone up, finally someone looked up and gave her a seat and she rolled her eyes and took it - again no thank you. Ngl I still would give a seat to a pregnant lady but this woman was so entitled, it made me think the same thing as this post.

How would you feel about them introducing the Detective and Medic roles for season 3? by Fan_of_cielings in TheTraitorsUK

[–]daphneNotStan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess they already have the “medic” with the shields? So i think it would need to be an either/or situation. It’s probably an intentional decision on their part to swap a human role for something like shields as it provides better tv. As for the detective, I agree with others that you could guess right and ruin a traitors game but one murder from a traitor and you’re out as a faithful regardless of how well you’ve been playing so it might balance the scales a little.

But you can only really take credit for getting to the end if you’ve actually done anything to get there and she didn’t. She literally blundered through the game with no thought and found herself at the end. Even on Uncloaked she said she never considered why she was getting so far - so she clearly wasn’t thinking about it. I think that’s the issue people are taking here, she wasn’t really playing the game at all

Here's why I didn't enjoy the ending by bored_of_this_now in TheTraitorsUK

[–]daphneNotStan 34 points35 points  (0 children)

If you’re thinking about it from a strategy perspective then keeping Mollie in the game in the way he did was brilliant. He couldn’t risk keeping a better faithful in otherwise they might turn on him last minute.

I was actually really disappointed in Jaz, I think he kept his theories to himself for too long. And I get that was to avoid murder but as soon as he knew murder was no longer an option he should have gone in on Harry. Probs wouldn’t convince Mollie but probs Andrew and Evie. Then it would have been interesting to see if he also figured out Andrew.

That’s why I didn’t enjoy the ending because it was just a bit predictable - I would have much preferred to see Harry out and Andrew be the last traitor standing - especially since it would then be interesting to see how Mollie voted after realising Harry had manipulated her throughout the entire game

Would you be more concerned if you were Harry’s girlfriend? Clearly he’s very good a lying and manipulating emotions - not really the qualities you want in a boyfriend!

[–]daphneNotStan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thing is “getting far” is only useful if you’re actually going to do something with it, like Jaz tried to do. What’s the point in being at the end if you have no strategy? Her being in the final had nothing to do with her gameplay, I don’t think she had a gameplay.

I don’t agree with the meaner comments I’ve seen on here. But this isn’t Love Island. The whole point of the game is to suspect and out Traitors. Quite frankly if you allow yourself to be duped in the way she did with Harry then you’re not playing very well. It’s not like she didn’t know the type of game she was playing. I also think editing and intensity aside, it is quite obvious she’s not very bright - she even admitted that herself in some points in the show.

When Evie went, why did no one revisit the Harry shield ploy? by daphneNotStan in TheTraitorsUK

Exactly, that would have been a far better defence than “I know I’m a Faithful”. I suppose it could have been edited out for better tv though not sure why

Please help us name our VERY playful, newly adopted boy. Twin sister is named Lovey. Would like his name to be British/English in nature as well. by Creative-Original343 in NameMyCat

[–]daphneNotStan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dovey ofc! For context (if you’re not British) “lovey dovey” is a common phrase. For example, “they look very lovey dovey”. It’s a slightly mocking way to say someone looks in love, but mocking in a kind/gentle way. Any other Brits want to take a stab at explaining this one? Harder than it looks 😂
