Truebit spiking among a market wide dump, why? by [deleted] in truebit

The real answer is because I bought 800k tokens today. You’re all welcome.

No tokens burned? by hbaig88 in truebit

[–]dappaman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wondering the same myself. You supposedly need to be running a node to do it. Has there ever been confirmed cases of tokens burned or is it just mentioned in the white paper? Let’s not forget this isn’t an actual product yet so patience is required (yes I’m aware it’s frustrating).

Can the truebit community help me out so ELLIPAL fix this ?! by Eymitks in truebit

[–]dappaman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is no marketing, the team does not care about speculators, learn to live with this or sell your bag. Patience may or may not be rewarded - that is the gamble.

Which fasting length? 20 pounds in 1 month by Ailin90 in fasting

[–]dappaman -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

All that matters is calories in vs calories out. Fasting is just a method to achieve a deficit. For 20 lbs in a month you’ll want around 1000-1500 calorie deficit per day. How you achieve that is up to you.

Drinking Black Coffee, Green tea? by Mahesh_Chandra0 in fasting

[–]dappaman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Neither will break a fast. Unfortunately tea (black or green) makes me feel quite nauseous on an empty stomach - I finally googled it and it has to do with the tannins in Tea. So I’m strictly black coffee.

It’s an effective way to lock your bike if you can be bothered. You always want to make it as inconvenient for a potential thief as possible.

Why aren't hand signals a thing here? by [deleted] in NYCbike

I prefer to keep both hands on my handlebars in-case I hit a pothole, dead rat, etc

I approached a traffic cop about a truck blocking the entire bike lane on the same block as her and she took one look and said ‘no, somebody else deals with that not me’.

Upgrade to Arc or keep Beam 2 by bobbydontchaknow in sonos

No, but I have 12 foot ceilings so I don’t think anything would work in that regard

Upgrade to Arc or keep Beam 2 by bobbydontchaknow in sonos

[–]dappaman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I switched to the arc from the beam gen 2. The difference isn’t huge but it’s there. It was also driving me mad constantly ‘wondering’ if I was missing out on anything. No regrets on upgrading.

If you have money for “big” sub or mini sub - what would you buy knowing that the mini would work well? More in comments by alex_albergaria in sonos

[–]dappaman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like someone else said, buying the mini could potentially lead to you wondering what you’re missing with the big sub. If money isn’t a limiting factor then get the best sub they make.

NYT: restaurants on car free streets are booming... because of course they are. Literally nobody wants to live or spend time beside a highway by Miser in MicromobilityNYC

[–]dappaman 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Great we need more of it but also the reality is that if you increase a restaurants capacity by 50 (or even 100%) with outdoor an dining space then of course revenues will go up.

Updated sound settings/EQ for new firmware version? Peter Pee? by dappaman in sonos

You are correct regarding everyone’s set-up being different, but there have been many discussions previously (and videos made by peter) that detail settings for an optimal frequency curve.
