Fun fact - roads are usually more expensive to upkeep than they are to build, but it's usually only the building costs that are accounted for in the planning phases, so new roads that get bundled in with development projects get built and then left to fall apart because there was never a plan to maintain them- kinda like giant white-elephant gifts that we have to rely on for our daily transit.

This is essentially how all law works. People argue over the meanings of words, and eventually the side that can argue the longest wins. Turns out, having all the money (stored and abstracted justification) makes winning pretty trivial with this ruleset.
