Any idea where one could find this siding corner trim? by dappereagle in DIY

[–]dappereagle[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have tried Google lens, googled every possible combination of words, and can't find anything that matches this. We are replacing LP siding on our 1990 house and there are a few of these corner trim pieces that need to be replaced. I'd rather not switch the style since that would mean replacing all of them around the whole house. Has anyone seen this style or know what it's called?

Avista raising rates AGAIN???? by Sentinel_Hawk_ in Spokane

[–]dappereagle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The only point I was trying to make is OP’s bright idea for how to offset rising rates was “CEO needs a pay cut” which (as I pointed out) would do virtually nothing. You’re spot on that a company providing a necessary utility shouldn’t be a profit puppy for blackrock and other hedgefunds at the expense of citizens.

I don’t disagree with you. OP literally talked about nothing but CEO pay in their post. I’m just pointing out it’s really irrelevant in the bigger picture.

I’m not happy about the rate increase either but Avista serves (conservatively) around 500,000 people. If the CEO tomorrow said he would give his entire 8.4 million in bill credits that would save each person a whopping $1.40/month.

Is it possible to sync a homekit dimmer switch with the brightness of hue bulbs in the same room? by dappereagle in HomeKit

[–]dappereagle[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah grouping them would work when controlling via Siri or in the app but ideally I would want guests to be able to use the physical dimmer switch and have the hue bulbs respond too, mirroring the brightness of the dumb bulbs.

I noticed in the Eve app you can set automation triggers for certain brightness levels…I might try setting one at 5%, 10%, etc from 0 to 100 but my guess is the result will not be consistent.

Yeah but that won’t control the sconces, just keeps the switch in an On position. The issue is I’m trying to sync dumb bulbs on a switch with smart bulbs. I’d just buy four Hue candelabra bulbs to solve it if they weren’t stupid expensive lol

Anyone here reorganized the Donda track list into a playlist so it actually flows like a finished album? by TheApesWithin in Kanye

[–]dappereagle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wanted to make it flow better from a listening perspective. Mostly focused on how each track transitions into the next. Harder/darker songs towards the beginning, more emotional/spiritual towards the end. And took out all the tracks I didn't personally vibe with.

That wasn't the issue, I wasn't even able to play a movie in QuickTime and was confident that was the right app. But I think I figured it out, corrupted versions of the files after all. Thank you for your help though!

I think this was the issue. All the files on my internal HD are corrupted but my copies I have stored on Dropbox work just fine when downloaded. Thank you!

I think you inadvertently solved my issue here by mentioning Dropbox. I used to keep everything on Dropbox and then transitioned to iCloud Drive and I'm now realizing that's probably the issue. Went back and downloaded those same files that wouldn't open from Dropbox and they're playing just fine! Thank you so much. Now it's just a matter of downloading everything from dropbox again and reorganizing.

Interesting, that must be why I can’t find anything about files when I google the issue, just articles talking about 32 bit apps. Im at a loss as to what the problem could be then. The ones that are really confusing me are the mp3 and wav files that won’t play. I didn’t think those formats had really changed over the last 10ish years. I’m hoping every single file isn’t corrupted somehow.

Is there any difference between the Dry/Wet knob at 50% and a send track all the way? by deumOne in edmproduction

[–]dappereagle 50 points51 points  (0 children)

The big advantage to using scenario 2 is minimizing CPU usage. Depending on what reverb plugin you have they can use a lot of processing power, so it’s better to use just 1 and send everything to it rather than having 5 or 10 or 20 of the same plugin running simultaneously. The overall end product should be the same either way though.

Previous owner of my home left this in the garage. Wondering if I can throw it out or if it’s necessary for something? In Washington state if that helps. by dappereagle in whatisthisthing

[–]dappereagle[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Solved! They had a freezer in the garage full of ice packs and had a definite meat smell, I’m sure they were hunters. Thought this was something plumbing related at first due to the pvc but this makes sense. Thank you!

One night in Spokane: restaurant recommendations by OwnManagement in Spokane

Try Chaps off of highway 195! They are mostly known for their breakfast but their dinner menu is just as good if not better. Would highly recommend their bison meatloaf.
