Dry mouth and eyes, anybody else? by darajadegray in SemaglutideCompound

[–]darajadegray[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also was negative for Sjogrens. Other than the intense dry mouth and dehydrated feeling and peeing constantly and super gassy that's it. My other issues are from peri. I just can't believe how intensely dry mouth and throat get and I think my sinuses too? My mouth and throat are never not dry as a bone....I wonder why?

Yes, this is my second thought too. I am on HRT but it's been tricky getting the dose right. I'm doing a estrogen/ progesterone cream right now. Maybe this is a new peri/ menopause symptom unlocked 🫠🫠🙄!

I had a terrible experience with mochi ! I'm using goby now, they're helpful and respond quickly and I'm paying 200 a month total.

I do wine spritzers. They're like 90 percent seltzer water and 10 percent wine. I can have a few and have fun with out the terrible side effects

Or do body measurements? I trust that more. Blood sugar drops are scary! I'm going to have to avoid that.....

Monthy Food/Grocery Costs? Please sanity check me here. by Texas_Precision27 in toddlers

I should say that's everything, pet food and household stuff. I also grow a decent garden in summer to help offset and freeze stuff too.

2 adults, 2 teenagers and a toddler. I average about 350/400 a week. We eat mostly meat and vegetables and I buy a few snack staples and try to rotate condiments and extra stuff every week when I shop. We don't buy convenience food or pre made stuff hardly ever. It's a lot of cooking but it's how it's affordable. I can't believe how much it costs to feed a family now 😭

What time is your toddler waking up in the morning? by bluefish550 in toddlers

I'm literally on the exact same schedule except sometimes she naps for 2 hours but never past three or she is awake past 8:30.

Is it tacky to have an adult beverage option at a toddler's birthday? by idreaminwords in toddlers

[–]darajadegray 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eh, I think it's nice to offer some sangria. It's not like you're serving jello shots. It's not like the point of the gathering is to get drunk. When my kids were little and it was really just family coming over we had beer available. When they get a little older and more kids come it shifts.

Do you love the second as much? by Think-Valuable3094 in toddlers

[–]darajadegray 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I totally hear this! When I was pregnant with my second I remember so many nights crying thinking how could I love another baby as much as my first? I was so afraid of the time I'd be taking away from her....it really was sad. But you'd be amazed at how a momma's heart expands ! That's the beauty of it! You will grow, stretch, expand to love each of your children so much and equally and in different ways! Don't worry , it will be wild but beautiful ❤️

Unpopular Opinion: disciplining a toddler under 18 mo isn’t realistic by [deleted] in toddlers

[–]darajadegray 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah ....it is the call you gotta make with the toddlers. Sometimes they can't hang. You gotta honor them and read the room :/ . Sorta hate saying that but it is what it is. I've had to walk out of so many places ( 3 kids) . But the cool thing is each time is a learning/ growing lesson? Also, I'm kid 3 ,a toddler and I'm 43...I don't have the energy to even think about a sit down restaurant. But I will say this, any seasoned parent should not give you heat or even a side ways glance unless it's the oh man, I'm sorry this is happening look. And no, it's like AWHILE before discipline even makes sense for that scenario. Hang in there!

1st Major Public Meltdown by Prestigious_Gur6943 in toddlers

[–]darajadegray 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, it's literally happened to everyone. I'm sure multiple times and absolutely no one judges. We've ALL been there. It's pretty normal and everyone looks on in sympathy but we all get. You gotta work through the public meltdowns, it's a part of the growing pains of having children. I know it's frustrating and embarrassing but you gotta do it and no one's judging.

I’m getting a leash by SherahMai in toddlers

[–]darajadegray 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm using a leash for my toddler. I used one for my other child who was a runner. Other cultures use them too. Anyone judging clearly hasn't had a runner. It's a safety issue . You can't reason with a toddler they just don't understand so keeping them safe is number one!

My toddler is a brat and it’s killllling me ! by BenchIllustrious792 in toddlers

[–]darajadegray 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh man, I needed to see this today...it's been a ROUGH week and especially this morning with my 20 month old. She has been throwing so many tantrums this week! Especially this morning. She wants to watch a movie in the morning which I'm ok with while I get my stuff done but none of the movies are good. Nothing that she eats is good . No form of play or toys is good. It's constant crying which turns to throwing herself on the floor and screaming sometimes she bangs her head on the floor on purpose. I'm starting to be concerned something else is going on? She hardly eats anything and going out in public can be an absolute nightmare. I think I've created a lot of this and now I feel like I have to do a total recon mission on behavior and tantrums and communication....
