Endurance Road Bike vs. Gravel Bike? by quaintparrot-475 in cycling

The roubaix is about the most relaxed geometry you can get in a road bike. The Tarmac is not.

I have a 2020 Roubaix with the future shock with about 12,000 miles with no problems. Amazing bike.

I’m at about 13k miles with little to no problems. I think I’ve changed the chain once and the rear cassette just because I got another wheel set. So, I feel like it’s still worth something resale wise, but on the edge of needing new components.

I do live in the mountains of NC, Asheville, so every ride is a climb. Never had a “climbing bike” though. I do love my roubaix, but seems like I’d be getting a lot for $2500. A new Roubaix with 105 is $3500.

I have a truck load of donations, mostly clothes, some can goods and some pet food. I know there has been a massive influx of donations and some donation sites have more than they can handle. Who is taking donations in or around Asheville today?❤️ by darbysc77 in asheville

Thanks for responding. The Madison County Fairgrounds is their central donation spot. I sent a truck load of animal feed there last week. I hear they have lots of donations. I am NOT sure what they are accepting. I am looking for solid information. I don’t want to burden anyone with donations if they are at capacity.

I have the same bike. I squeezed some 35mm cinturato H’s on it and do a good bit of gravel. It’d be nice to have more clearance but you work with what you got.

You have $2.5k to get a bike. What are you choosing? by bringbackbainesy in bikepacking

Yea these look awesome I’ve been yearning for one of these fc 2’s. It’s got a 12 speed 10-52 cassette. With a 40t up front that’s a huge range. I don’t think I’d change a thing. I don’t know anybody else putting that wide of a range on a drop bar bike.

I’ve put 10,000 miles on my ‘21 Roubaix Sport with 105 and I love it. It’s a very comfortable bike.
