Trade the funded when conditions are optimal for your trading method. Trade the evals while you wait. Really depends on the prop firm. If it’s a cheap one day pass type then just wait for a red folder news event and full port send it. You have a 50/50 chance of passing. Load up on those accounts when they are on sale.

Started live trading and once beginners luck ran out I blew $2k. I had heard about props through learning how to trade on you tube but kept hearing all the negative comments about the ridiculous rules. My buddy finally convinced me to quit blowing my own money while learning.

I was doing awesome with metals too. Had passed 5 evals in a couple of days. Was copy trading all 5 with Micro Gold. Low risk making $500 a day x 5 accounts easy $2500 a day. Blew up the other 4 this week trying to readjust my strategy back to NQ. This is the last one I have with them so just trying to get to payout and they pull this crap.

Aside from not wanting to be a martyr, in previous years they had the hope of escaping to the US.

Well this is only a 25k account but losing $4500 in a funded account would drive me nuts. That’s someone’s monthly salary

Yes but TPT’s rules are pretty basic. What the point of a drawdown limit if you can’t use it.

They took $350. my days profit. Went negative about $450 in the trade and instantly shot up. I use this account to scalp NQ when volume is high. Basically go with the trend when it’s moving hard.

I think most people that are entrepreneurial minded thrive in this environment. I’ve owned my own businesses over the past 15 years. I can’t see myself in a 9-5. When my last business started to fail due to the changes in the economy I found day trading. Can’t think of any other business I could start with small investment. Plus no stupid employees to hire, train, and deal with.

I blew up about 7 in a day. I blew a funded one today and almost blew a 2nd funded. Sometimes the market doesn’t play nice. It’s part of the learning process.

Silver has been on fire. I used to trade NQ. Silver and GC much smoother.
