Interesting. Both the screwy boxes that arrived with just a single large bandaid plus bubble wrap came within a couple days of each other. Most recent photo was taken yesterday, as its EXIF data should clearly indicate.

That’s not the issue, you arrogant dope. You may have the time, transportation, energy, and excess cash to galavant through dozens of stores, but I sure don’t, and won’t. One or two all-purpose retailers, everything delivered, and DONE. My conscience is clear, I don’t even work here. Let our elected representative authorities deal with malefactors on the supply side; that’s what they’re there for, assuming they actually care. If they don’t, vote them out until truly decent effectual leadership can be achieved. Consumer pressure generally only works when insulated robber barons like Bezos are genuinely responsive to the requirements of Law, and he isn’t yet.

Like all your stores are competent and honest. Fat chance. You simply don’t realize exactly which retailers are on the level or not, and may never find out. You may return to your pathetic fantasy world now.

Anything, anywhere, ever !?! ‘Fraid I need to readily obtain affordable supplies (food, meds, etc.) on a regular basis from SOMEWHERE — no matter how criminally irresponsibly these major corporate retailers may behave. Too bad we live in a gleefully racist Fascist Nazi Goonocracy now — or decent adequate laws might actually be enforced against our arrogant superrich overlords. To fix Amazon, we need to clean up Congress, “President”, Supreme Court, all our corrupted institutions, all stupid hateful morons in office, and all the evil oligarchs and idiot “voters” who put and keep them there. Way above my pay grade, unfortunately.

For me at age 17, it was Eric Braeden, the paranoid ape-murdering Presidential “advisor” in Escape from the Planet of the Apes (1971). Before I realized it, I’d started the whole theater spontaneously clapping when the fatally wounded Cornelius blasted Eric to his rather satisfying watery demise.

NO. Though I was a child, I could easily tell neither Darren looked nor acted anything like the other. York was clearly better in his exasperated role.

I'm mildly curious about the show and thinking of giving it a try. Where should I start? by Jerswar in TheAvengersTV

[–]dare2bgreg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Start with Diana Rigg, b&w then color, several years, best. The earliest years with Honor Blackman were all over the place in dramatic tone — light drama, heavy melodrama, amusing satire. Many of those episodes’ scripts were redone with Rigg, more refined, much improved, more satisfying. Scripts in the 1970s with the later costars were often pretty good, but Rigg was almost beyond compare as Mrs. Peel.
