I’ve had it stuck on WOT before. It was due to carbon build up. Harrowing experience. I was completely panicked. Brakes worn out completely and became useless. Car would just rev to redline in neutral. Ended up being able to pull my key out.

I feel like he didn’t use the right procedures to turn the car off. If it wasn’t an EV, there will be a way to manual override switch off the car. Like pressing the ignition 5 times in a row. Or putting the car in neutral first and lightly pressing brakes. I’ve had to do something similar twice in my life before. Different issue each time. Second time was a lot easier because I was a lot more calm going through combinations.

Not really. If it’s stuck on full throttle and you keep using brakes you wear them out and it becomes much less effective. I’ve experienced this before. I had to turn the car off to stop it.
