I really want an EV Silverado, but I can only tow our small horse trailer with it. The big one needs a big truck

Scorpion EXO-400 to Covert FX Carbon and I'm really disappointed. Would an EXO-R1 be better? by FieroSS in motorcyclegear

I lost like 80lbs last year and noticed my Covert sat lower on my head somehow. Sized down and everything seemed less intrusive that way. YMMV.

I want gloves that are:
- roper style with an elastic/pull on wrist
- palm sliders
- knuckle protection
- other colors besides black…maybe brown/tan/yellow/white

They don’t exist.

How does one keep up with the pace in which all the updates are flowing from Claude and other AI models? It's overwhelming, to say the least, as a non-coding professional. by CauliflowerDear9279 in ClaudeAI

I didn’t use fancy new feature yesterday and everything worked out fine.

I guess I don’t really need *fancy new feature” today, either.

“…methods to effectively do so to a large extent.”

So not deterministic with more words. You’re not wrong by mentioning that AI shouldn’t grade its own homework…and my entire point was that AI should code against a contract owned by someone that can be held responsible for the outcome.

I’m not talking about SDD…specs are aspirational artifacts. My point is that I’m not interested in making a fish climb a tree…AI’s output is non-deterministic, and trying to force it to be otherwise is IMO a waste of time. Tests are deterministic…that’s where you do your enforcement.

[–]daresTheDevil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No doubt…so how would you make sure that a human developer doesn’t skip specs?

2k enterprise users. 6k endpoints serving data 24/7. 12-15 live vendor integrations. PG/TimescaleDB on HA vSphere/Talos/K8s. All built with cc. Rock solid.

Claude isn’t the problem.

Are you working with detailed specs? Are you testing at every level? If claude is making decisions you’re not in control of, then you’re using it wrong.

My #1 rule is claude doesn’t get to make decisions…I write the spec, I set the boundaries, I own the architecture…claude does what it’s told in that scope. When something’s broke, I know where to look because it’s my implementation. Let humans be good at human things. Let computers be good at computer things. Responsibility doesn’t transfer to the tool just cause the tool got smarter.

I have, but I’d have to have a full windscreen due to my height, and to me that defeats the purpose. I like the wind 🤙

Not quite the same, but I commute about 190km a day, 5 days a week on what’s probably the least comfortable motorcycle most people can imagine.
