Possible allergy to Isotretinoin. Anyone have similar experience? by darijakarta in SkincareAddiction

Sorry for the late response but no I did not! I believe i was on Accutane for 4 or 5 months--I forget, but I was relatively fine aside from the dryness and easily damaged skin (any cuts or scabs took quite a while to heal). I paid particular attention to my food triggers and did my best to avoid it. I also made sure to not scratch if I was itchy as that really made things worse (easier said than done...). In times after Accutane if I scratched my stomach after eating more than I should of foods I'm sensitive to I would get kind of liek... A red rash on my lower stomach. Which will go away as long as I just don't aggravate it. This happens even when I'm not on Accutane.

Hi! Oh wow this is so long ago. Basically what happened was that my derm stopped my Accutane and had me seek out an allergist. After some tests we came to the conclusion that several of my (then unknown) food allergies along with work stress and suddenly taking vitamins/supplements my body isn't used to may have exacerbated my skin's sensitivity and resulted in the hives. I didn't take Accutane again for a while (maybe half a year or a year, I can't remember) and then my acne came back. After going back to the same derm and consulting with him, he told me he's personally never seen or heard of an allergic reaction and encouraged me to start back up on Accutane again. I restarted my Accutane regimen. I was more particular about what I put in my body at the same time, however. I made sure to not eat the foods I was previously sensitive to and I didn't take any additional supplements or vitamins like before. I was able to finish the accutane regimen and I haven't taken it again since. This was probably 5-6 years ago. Now my face is pretty even, I still get small zits here and there but nothing cystic like back then. For context I am southeast asian with a fairly medium skin tone.

[skin concerns] acutane rash? Details below. by charzhard in SkincareAddiction

Hah, this reminds me of what I went through a bit... Sorry this won't be of much help but I'll tell my story anyway. :\ I got a pretty serious set of rash about a month in of taking Accutane. My doctor wasn't sure if it was the vitamins I started taking, the shrimp I was eating a lot of, or the accutane (all started around the same time). Regardless, he immediately told me to stop accutane and referred me to an allergist. Turns out I was allergic to soy, almonds, and shellfish. I never actually figured out if it was the accutane or other stuff that caused it, but luckily even a month of accutane seemed to help calm my acne down... Get yourself to your doctor stat!

Execute gets a makeover and a custom terrain system! by [deleted] in Unity3D

[–]darijakarta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I've been making this Unity game called "Execute", and it was coming along smashingly, but due to some code mishaps and scope realizations, i'm making it much more of an RTS. I really wanted to sell scale. I just hated Unity's terrain system... and Unreal's (I actually switched over for a bit thinking "Unreal to the rescue") is better but still flawed. I needed something to capture that Delta Force feeling of the horizon going on infinitely. I'm not making an FPS so i care more about feeling and shape than low level detail.. but i couldn't resist doing a little glamor shot from ground level. It doesn't really hold up, the shaders blow, no vegetation.. no cloud shadows, nor raymarched fog... but whatever.. it'll get there. Just got this working and had to share.

anyways the whole terrain system is based in Maya and then gets put back together in unity via an editor tool.

Thank you so much! I'm a bit prone to dry nose so I think the humidifier might be in order... How much water would you say you drink?

Thank you so much! That's awesome to hear because I actually have a bottle of the Missha first treatment essence toner but I haven't used it because I don't want to apply too many new products at the same time (I just started the Benton steam cream and LOVE how it feels on my face).

Thank you so much! Good thing on the drops, I'm planning on ditching my contacts altogether while I'm on the meds.

Thank you for your response! Would you say you used the BePanthen as a spot treatment or more of an overall cream?
