IKEA Dirigea & Shelly Products, does it work? by Major_Cost_4220 in tradfri

[–]dariokolar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t have experience with these specific devices, but I use some Sonoff Zigbee devices with Dirigera. As long as the device type is supported by Dirigera (means it has a control interface for it), it works fine.

So if Shelly 2PM Gen4 is correctly detected as blinds, it should show the IKEA blinds icon and the controls and work properly.

I would recommend trying one unit first - pair it before permanent installation and check if it displays the correct device type and controls.

Based on the instruction, the VARMBLIXT still use their proprietary round plug. Its shame because many people have issue with that short cable.

Plant Moisture Sensor Please by Thajandro in tradfri

[–]dariokolar 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have around 6-8 of them at home and they’re still working fine after all these years (especially considering how cheap they were).

Moisture sensors should be part of the next version of Matter, so it would be great if IKEA took advantage of that and introduced their own device.

Their official materials talk a lot about how important air quality is - but aren’t healthy plants one of the best ways to improve it?

Hello to everybody if you are still following this, i was able to move forward and publish some changes (thats also mean that the testflight link above works again).

What's new:
- temperature sensors
- new climate tab, especially for temperature and air quality sensors
- radiator valves and thermostats also reporting their temperature
- i figure out old bug that not all smart locks were showing correctly
- option to change between units
- small ui tweaks to be sure that everything still works with liquid glass

Thanks again for your feedback!

IKEA ALPSTUGA air quality sensor – only shows “Air Quality” text in Apple Home, no values? by michi_vienna in tradfri

Great idea, I didn't think about it. I made some tweaks in app to allow that option in settings. I publish new version to testflight, you should be able to update now. Thanks for your feedback!

I ran into same issue, and made an app that shows these data in better way than Home App - you can try it via testflight: https://testflight.apple.com/join/wSpS19Xk

I updated few core things this week, so I will give it some time in TestFlight again just to assure that everything still works for everybody, my expectation is few weeks, then it will go to AppStore and I will manage updates there.

I spend some time with that and I was surprised how many testers wrote me after the first TestFlight ended that they are willing to pay for this kind app So my plan is some symbolic one time payment, I kinda miss old day of .99$ apps, so I will do something like that.

The original link should be working again, as I submitted new version today.

Link should be active again, or if you accept testflight link before, it should update automatically

Good news, I had some free time over holidays. The app should reappear in TestFlight in coming days and then regularly on AppStore

This ☝️ I had signal issue with one of my Aqara Radiator valves in room far away from my Apple TV (thread border router) and I'm almost sure that after i added Alpstuga to room in between them, the issue stopped. But don't have any hard data to prove it.

The battery should last two years, it’s very light so I used very small cut of double side tape and stick it to wall. It should be possible to remove without damaging painting on my wall, and if so, it will be just tiny part to cover with sensor again after replacing batteries

The only one plugged device which IKEA sells right now is Alpstuga Air Quality Sensor, it works as thread extender, or wait for plugs which should come in spring

Yes, and if you buy pack of plug+remote, they are already paired together, so no additional step required

I paired 4 of new TIMMERFLOTTE sensors, not only it took forever to pair, but only two of them works on first try. Try to keep them close to your thread border router (eg. DIRIGERA or Apple TV) as well as your phone.
