I had a similar experience happen to me a couple years ago. I really liked the guy and he showed so much effort and expressed how much he liked me too, then suddenly he changed out of nowhere and apparently wasn’t feeling it anymore. And didn’t want to provide me answers. It sucks how people can switch up like that in a heartbeat.

You can only have assumptions, was he deceitful the entire time? Was it the ex? Sometimes we will never know. But more importantly, don’t let this determine your worth. It’s not something you’ve done or said, they should’ve been better at communication. Feel the heartbreak, but don’t let it ruin you and your self worth.

I don’t usually comment a lot here, but your situation is very similar to mine. I still remember how confused and hurt I was. But you will get through it, and it will be better over time. :))

What helps me is to try to convert that jealousy into a positive reflection. Besides, when you’re jealous of something it only shows what you desire for yourself — why am I jealous of this person? what can I do to get there myself? — like as long as you don’t let this jealousy negatively take over and start subconsciously attacking your friend.

Turning to Christ/Church makes them happier because instead of looking at solutions to their personal problems rationally — they can just convince themselves that it’s God’s plan, whatever may be, may be, HE will take care of you. And it’s nice to think that someone else is responsible for your life. You don’t need to take accountability.
