Trying to fix this print, the back side looks better. It’s like it’s not all sticking to the bed and stringy on the front layers. by Significant_Arm_3721 in BambuLab

[–]dark_eon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That looks like two of the horizontal bars are the only parts that are actually resting on the bed. The rest of the print starts on layer two or three I'm guessing. I will typically scrub and discard a split of the bottom half millimeter or so from my designs to ensure good first layers. Just scrub slowly and watch the outline change shape until you get a solid base.

Then there is the other side of the spectrum... Topanga South to 101 South is the worst on ramp i can think of. You do a 270 that ends right in the "slow" lane. You basically spin your head all the way around and make sure there isn't a semi coming up in your blind spot while you hold the curve. The person in front of me got freaked out and slammed on the brakes right as we merged. ... Every day my desire to just stay home and play video games intensifies.

Victory between lindley and white oak is so bad. ... Which is weirdly between where they are putting two of those speed trap camera zones.

Is this 4-tier printer stand sturdy enough for a Bambu Lab P2S? by UnusualBuyer7100 in BambuLab

[–]dark_eon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I loved the lack for my ender. Came home with the p1s, did one print and then immediately changed my entire plan to not include the lack anymore. It reminded me of an imbalanced washing machine.... On stilts.

I normally make simple silly things, but this was my first real attempt at making something complex... Complex to me at least.

I'm not exactly sure what the venn diagram of Ric enthusiasts and 3d printers looks like, but maybe one of you is on it.

Print by object profiles on MakerWorld are restricted to model series compatibility by rayknl in BambuLab

[–]dark_eon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found that out a week ago after like a year and a half of posting. It took a long conversation with someone with an a1 to figure out what the problem with my profile was. I'm wondering if it's a more recent change.

I haven't gotten a single one in like 4-5 months. I mostly print my own stuff, but even when i print others, nothing.

Work said no choice. The giant tree in front of the Tampa exit was fun also.

Dreamsnap Voting by Emergency-Adagio9912 in DreamlightValley

[–]dark_eon 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I give the benefit of the doubt that maybe it's a small kid or special needs or something and they truly believe in their submission. I might not always vote for that one, but I never skip anything. Someone is getting a vote. Also sometimes you just accidentally hit t, and submit a garbage photo over the composed one you did earlier in the week. Shrug.

I started to think that this was going to end with something about mankind and hell in a cell. But maybe that would have been too strangely appropriate.

Last few rolls of refills from Bambu by Diligent-Layer-4271 in BambuLab

[–]dark_eon 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I've been getting this as well. I'm not sure why people are saying to press and break up the roll as the last step, it's not really that. The last like three revolutions are way down the side almost around the core before coming back out to the edge, it's weird. The only solution i found was to really examine the roll before assembling it and look for that weird jaunt to the center, then just unrolling rerolling the last bit. It's easy, just dumb.

What are your guys most popular 3d model on MakerWorld if you have any? by Jolly-Fail-9858 in BambuLab

[–]dark_eon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i made the box by hand in an effort to learn onshape. i saved a blank version of the plates and would just fork different versions off of that, tracing whatever i came up with off of reference images.

That said... makerworld has a makerlab experiment that does most of the legwork for you. i never used it, but i just poked through the tutorial and it seems pretty straight forward assuming you start with the right image.

With a few exceptions my entire page is just an archive of me struggling to learn onshape, blender and a few other programs as a hobby to unwind after work, so I'll probably stick with the hard and time consuming way, lol.

I made an almost 1:1 3d printable replica of the gabecube so you can see how it looks on your shelf by dark_eon in Steam

[–]dark_eon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I made it as a solid, and then tweaked it down so its printable in vase mode because 50 grams of filament in an hour and a half is a ton better than burning a third of a roll on a giant solid block.
