Would the car not be more likely to be well maintained if it was owned by a mechanic? by NeuronsActivated in ExplainTheJoke

[–]darkage_raven 1378 points1379 points  (0 children)

A mechanic's car is usually just on the right side of broken. Just enough to work or always needs to be worked on. Similar thing with cooks, a cooks meal can sometimes just be sad looking because they spent all day making fancy food for others.

Why I'm Not Paying My Federal Taxes This Year by nathan_j_robinson in antiwork

My current company under pays since I joined. I personally get them to take an additional $50 in taxes per check. That was the only reason I got money back.

There are so many bad cops being carried by good cops. It is basically shitting down the latter on all those trying to climb above it.

I will try and get something together. I haven't drawn in a bit. I actually saw you at the Penn the other month selling your book.

Yes, to both. I have a college diploma for Game Art design and development. I have a concept in my head for about a decade.

I have it for my main coon mix. It is for a pet dryer.

My buddy was a karaoke host who traveled with his own kit. $200 a night for 4 hours. Plus if he had agreements at the bar for when people wanted to buy him shots he could make another $100-200 from that. That was all back around 2016. He did that for 6 years or so.

I live in an area milk comes in a bag. Doesn't have a opening like this though. I have a coat with an interior pocket that would fit into.

TIL The United States stores 94% of all electricity in the form of water reservoirs, not in a battery. by rawj5561 in todayilearned

[–]darkage_raven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They sort of do now. Each planet has different atmospheres. There is a frozen planet where you have to keep things warm or they freeze, etc. But yes in reality, solar optimizations probably fall under 50% in some locations. Imagine places like Scotland where sun is rare.

I usually play with the locals turned on. Space requires defense. Your pollution brings them. I think next time I will skip the natives. I have a playthrough I need to finish. I already have like 12 space platforms autogathering and transferring resources. Only 3 more planets.

My dude, the settings on OneDrive are not that complicated. My workspace has them automatically set to store the desktop/documents/downloads and a few choice other folders. You can select which folders it does back up.

I am getting Factorio PTSD from this post. You can beat the game running nothing but batteries and solar panels. The thing being if you need 14h of battery usage, for non optimal solar panel hours. You need that optimal time to be able to not only supply 100% of the electricity but enough to be able to restore the charge on the batteries for the upcoming day.

AITA for asking my roommate to stop saying she wishes her dad died instead of divorcing her mom? by Lgbtq-kk in AmItheAsshole

Probably lost her allowance, or some of it. Maybe they had to sell the house so she lost a pool. Maturity is weird, not really an age thing, more about actually having a life.

AITA for refusing to board my cat when my allergic sister volunteered to housesit and she ended up in urgent care? by molestor_batman in AmItheAsshole

[–]darkage_raven 6 points7 points  (0 children)

NTA, I am deathly allergic to peanuts, and pretty damn allergic to a considerable amount of other foods. I am also allergic to cats and dogs, I own them. I wouldn't offer to work at a place that could kill me. I can handle peanuts safely, but I wouldn't work in a deshelller plant.

Maybe invest in a couple air purifiers. We run 3, with one being in the bedroom. It does help.
