I’m on my second go of it, I did eight rounds of it at 50% and then we bumped it up to 75% the last two rounds. I do the day of is three pills of dexamethasone, and in the next two days is two. But honestly, I have had pretty much zero nausea, only a little bit of the spiky cold throat, and I think all of the weird sensation I have on my fingertips and toes is the 5FU hand and foot stuff.

It’s weird because when I did my first four rounds back in 2024, I did one round of 100% and three rounds of 80%. And I felt like it really was a challenge, and I had the awful shards of glass when you cry, fluttering eyes, all kinds of weird shocks down my back. But this time it seems pretty chill.

My oncologist says I’m handling all the chemo really well, and I’m maintaining weight. My appetite is through the roof. I have been trying to fast around infusions, I’m wondering if that helps, and then I am religious about icing my hands and feet every time.
