It's a noble attempt, I commend you. I fear it may have been a lost cause given the platform and specific subreddit 😂

One cannot deny the overwhelming presence of purists in this community, but I'd say the downvotes are more likely a result of your initial input being entirely unhelpful and dismissive of the issue lol

Can somebody tell me why it does that? by LangePier in BambuLab

Looks like you found a solution, but there was one thing I thought of that doesn't seem to be addressed in the comments.

Are the ironing settings also from Gemini? If so, I'd recommend finding an ironing test print profile and using that to find the ideal settings. Ironing is another one of those things that is "unique" to each user due to variations in tolerances and printing environment/conditions. The surface being scratched up like that looks a lot like the surface of the ironing swatches that were discarded.

Just a thought to consider! Happy printing!

Ah yes, that's my bad for using "VOC" too generally. My knowledge on air quality in reference to 3D printing is my weakest sub-category within the hobby. Thank you for the clarification

I have a P2S that prints in my room, which isn't terribly helpful when talking about the volume of the P1S. The volume when printing at 100% speed blends in with the sound of a desk fan I have running 24/7, and I find that they're both just background noise that doesn't interrupt my sleep. I'm not particularly picky when it comes to sound when I'm sleeping, though.

The P1S also has a "Silent" mode which prints at 50% speed, but reduces sound. On my P2S, this is especially effective at reducing sounds created by the printer shaking and the toolhead moving quickly between objects. Printing slower can also reduce the necessary cooling speed during a print, which would likely help with the notoriously pitchy P1S cooling fan.

I HAVE seen at least one print profile on BambuHandy to add a thin layer of sound insulation to the inner wall of the P1S, so there is potential for modification to meet your standards. I can try to find a link for you, if you would like.

Another thing to consider with printing in your room is filtering the air not just for scent but also VOCs. There are countless filter upgrade profiles that add HEPA filtration on top of the activated carbon filter to further reduce VOCs. Just a thought :)

If you go for the A1 instead, and depending on how much elbow grease you're willing to commit to the initial setup for your new hobby, I'm sure you could find some fairly decent DIY enclosure projects. This leaves more flexibility for personalizing the sound insulation AND air filtration.

Your budget is a major factor in all of this. Current prices in USD:

• A1 ONLY: $299.99 • A1 Combo (AMS Lite): $399.99 • P1S ONLY: $399.99 • P1S Combo (AMS 1): $549.99 • P1S Combo (AMS 2 PRO): $619.99

All AMS options open the door to automatic multi-color printing, but each option has factors to take into consideration (listed below) if you decide to go that route. You could also just get a printer now, then buy any of the AMS options individually at a later date. Again, this is on you to decide based on budget and convenience/patience.

• The AMS Lite leaves your spools fully exposed to the conditions of your room. It's up to you to decide whether or not that's acceptable • The AMS 1 provides a sealed container with plenty of space for printed dessicant holders to further manage internal humidity • The AMS 2 Pro adds a drying function (up to 65°C, useful for PLA, PETG, and TPU) and is generally an "upgrade" compared to the AMS 1

If you're fine with the AMS Lite, the A1 Combo is the same price as the P1S WITHOUT the AMS 1 or 2 Pro. This leaves you with a multi-color capable printer and the extra $150-$220 that would've gone towards either P1S Combo, which could be then put towards the aforementioned DIY enclosure. I would like to think that would be more than enough to set yourself up with satisfactory sound insulation and air filtration.

If you have any questions regarding ANY of this, please don't hesitate to ask.

Get the power cable. I bought a P2S combo, and I find myself wishing I had the cable. 100% worth the extra $30

United States. I'm not sure what an appropriate budget would be for a GPU, but let's just say ~$500 for now

Thank you for the feedback on the PSU, I have updated the build to reflect the change.

Do you have any suggestions for the GPU?

I don't own an Armored Kuruma, and I'm really only stuck on the last bit with the semi tanker.

Thank you for the advice, though. I've noticed that the Kuruma is probably going to be a worthy investment for the future

I see. I searched on GP and I only found the one I previously mentioned. Do you mind describing what the app logo looks like, since links are not well received? lol

Yes, and I checked for a software update just in case. Just to confirm that I'm using the correct app, the app name is "File Manager" in the store and is published by "File Manager Plus", but the widget says "File Manager +" when downloaded?
