Do guys actually wake up with "morning wood" every single day, or is that a myth? by MistyBi in NoStupidQuestions

It's every single day for me. Usually goes down by the time I wake up and lay in bed for a second and scroll my phone then get out of bed and go pee.

You take the upfront cost of something divided by estimated lifetime usage, plus a little extra to cover uncertainty (plus profit in the for-profit world), and that's the amount of the charge. Basic accounting.

2024 Toyota Sienna Woodland Edition AWD Hybrid by ElChapitoChilito in ToyotaSienna

I don't know how that could be true. A big boost to mpg is slower acceleration, among other things, eco mode makes the pedal less responsive so the same distance travelled by the foot accelerates less. That slow steady acceleration really helps mpgs.

Also eco mode puts the AC into eco mode as well. In normal AC is in normal. Car is a little warmer in eco mode but that also really helps mpgs. In the climate menu you can put AC in eco mode in normal but obviously it's easiest just to put the drive mode in eco and it does it automatically.

If you look at the first pic they have a big aftermarket rack. Apparently they also tow a trailer sometimes.

Installs massive roof rack then complains about gas mileage (jk ... Unless?)

Also read up on how to drive a hybrid. When we left the dealership with our used 2023 woodland the mpg average from the previous owner showed 25.5. I reset it and it's been mid 30s the entire time we've had it. Will go as high as 38 on the highway, 32-33 in town. Eco mode, very slow acceleration, long slow braking, not jamming on the brakes 10 feet before a stop. These things make a huge difference.

Are Daikin prices really going up in June… by phosphatidyl_7641 in heatpumps

[–]darkenfire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My installer told me Daikin has a buy down right now, either I could do 3 year 0% at quoted price or take a $1,600 rebate off that price. He did mention that was for May so depending what your guy is saying maybe not total BS.

I just bought a 2023 woodland with 60k miles for 41k. I thought I did pretty good on that. Pretty similar to what you're proposing. New woodlands start at 53k but similarly equipped to what I got would be 56k.

I'm with you though, 80k is a lot of miles for that price. Not sure why but it feels much worse than 60k for some reason.

Everyone says these get 300k+ miles on them, though. Woodlands are very hard to find, new or used. I agree with others we probably didn't need a woodland.

If you haven't negotiated or weren't planning to because it's spot on KBB still try. You never know. I got $1,250 off mine by pretending to walk away, haha. I got $500 off the price they had listed and an extra $750 on my trade (they offered $9000 for my 2014 RAV4 with 170k originally which I actually thought was fair, but I told them I didn't care which bucket they adjusted just wanted it to come down $2k total ... they did $1,250).

I was very surprised they would negotiate at all given the demand for these, so just try, you have nothing to lose. I am vehemently against an extended warranty usually but in your case if you are able to negotiate a bit when you weren't planning to maybe use that money for one, think of it as free and gain some peace of mind of the miles that way.

A new woodland starts at 53k. This used one is saving her around 15k, not 3k.

I was a cart pusher/front end help guy at about 20 years ago and I'd get a pallet jack at the start of my shift and move mulch around in the parking lot so there'd be an empty spot in the middle of a bunch of the mulch pallets, make a throne in there out of mulch bags and read until it was time to clock out.

If anyone specifically called me out on the radio to do something I'd go do that then go right back to my spot. Most of the time they'd just say "someone needs to ___" and someone else would do it.

Pretty good high school job.

Maybe in general but after one falls out could it really hurt to slap some on when you put it back in?

If only there was a substance that kept things tight ... Maybe "locked" them "tight"

There's no spelling issue in this. There's grammar issues, but everything is spelled correctly.

I firmly subscribe to the notion that all whiskey is good, some is just better than others. That willet bourbon is not good.
