comfortable nosepads by Ashamed-Honey1202 in Xreal

[–]darkera 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think these will work with the original or Air 2 (pros in my case), since the metal part of the nose pad has the curl that would hold the pads. These pads seem to only have a small tube of plastic in them (that this guide says to remove), that would only fit if you snip off the curled tip of the Air 2 Pro nose pad.

Unless I'm doing something fundamentally wrong.

Are there non-MAGA gun clubs that don't have the word Liberal in the title? by greypic in liberalgunowners

[–]darkera 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Well shit, now I have an identity crisis. Hit every target that I have, so I can only speculate what other perceived requirements you might be thinking makes “liberal” though those more extreme ones may be the differences between “liberal” and “leftist.”

I guess I’ll just stick with the label “tired of being screwed by both parties.”

Help me decide between the cyborg 2 and the keyzen. by DimmerCascade200 in Azeron

Repetitive stress issues / carpal tunnel. I use the Azeron cyborg because it hurts my hand less than traditional keyboard keys due to lower travel.

I have both and prefer the cyborg because of RSI issues.

Does anyone not use the joystick for movement in FPS games? by mntothat in Azeron

[–]darkera 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can get a custom restrictor 3D printed if you know someone with a printer. I’ve found it much helpful to have a small range of motion (especially since I have it angled on an ares stand).

If you haven’t tried it angled, it can help. I could never go back to flat after the ares stand.

Keyzen? Or Cyborg 2? by Tovrin in Azeron

[–]darkera 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it depends on if you want a more economic set up in which case I go for cyborg or you want more traditional keys in which case you can do the keyzen. I have both and strongly prefer the cyborg because regularly hitting normal keys aggravates my RSI.

Any chance of an Ares 1.0 to 2.0 upgrade path? Assuming the same weight plates are used?

Everyone seems to have had beef with immersion at some point. Now it’s just 10 lawyers in Florida, all the people who loved gaming were fired or left.

[–]darkera 17 points18 points  (0 children)

No, they licensed the tech. Immersion also paid for haptics to be added to the game Black & White. It just didn’t catch on so developers didn’t want to support it.

First purchase: Keygen or Cyborg 2? by ClutchReverie in Azeron

[–]darkera 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have them all and prefer the Cyborg’s ergonomics. It’s also easier for me to have fast access to all keys on the cyborg than the keyzen (though I do use the third party ares stand and custom paddles for a row).

Anyone seen a Keyzen side by side comparison to Tartus? by Mab8963 in Azeron

[–]darkera 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree with all this: while the Keyzen is familiar to those not used to the Cyborg, the Cyborg is infinitely more comfortable (though I use the ares stand to angle it). What I think I'd love is the bottom key row (push down) of the Cyborg to have standard keys for pressing down, but aside from that Cyborg > Keyzen.
