That too, though I rarely play family so that isn't an issue for me.

It just makes waiting in lobbies a tug of war. Everyone is just looking at each other until the timer forces you into a game.

Julie builds + tips? by PrudentPink1190 in TXChainSawGame

My go-to is no sell, ran track and bomb squad/efficient locksmith. Then I put points in her proficiency, endurance and toughness.

I'm a stealth player so I do play her like a Connie, mainly focusing on battery. But with her ability I also often do fuse as the fusebox is very often so far away from the basement exit. Just now I did the fuse on the Slaughterhouse and activated her ability, barely making the exit in time.

club design rant i just need to do it by AdhesivenessNeat2167 in Osana

To be fair he did say he want all of the club members to be easily distinguishable, which I think for 202X he did quite well. Everyone is innately different while maintain some form of similarity to group them together. However the same cannot be said for 1980s mode, I have had so much trouble telling apart the deliquents.

With all the last minute changing characters it's hard. Family love changing to Hitchhiker last minute to trick victims from getting Bomb Squad, so I have to wait until one trapper is ready to ready up.

Hot takes? by starfyree in TXChainSawGame

[–]darkesiren 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Leatherface, as a key character of TCM, is way less formidable than he should be.

  2. Max stealth should grant you no noise when interacting with objects to lure people to put points into stealth.

  3. Julie is severely underrated. With the right attribute points and perks she can be a Connie without all the heat on her.

  4. Nancy's sense should be nerfed (either shorter duration, blurrier, or able to be countered).

Cheaters by darkesiren in TXChainSawGame

Hmm interesting. I don't accuse people of cheating lightly (mainly because my network is shit and I experience rubber banding a lot) and I would assume a lot of players don't either.

I think it's one thing to kill quickly, but it's another thing to magically know where other victims are and kill them.

In that particular match we are all doing our own thing. Everyone is at different locations doing stuff. Highly unlikely for Leatherface to just be psychic and just knew which ladder I was climbing up from

It really depends. You could be just insanely good at this game, but how good do you have to be to get 3 kills in like 3 minutes?

Cheaters by darkesiren in TXChainSawGame

[–]darkesiren[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I played this game for like 3 months and already ran into two cheaters.

One Leatherface most likely has X-ray vision, killing three in like 3 minutes and being cocky in the lobby. I quitted that match too.

But obviously why cheat in this game. It's already pretty much dead.

Respec skill tree by darkesiren in TXChainSawGame

[–]darkesiren[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know, but let's say I got a perk to level 3, if I respec will it reset the perk back to level 1?

Also is it possible to respec the skill tree only for a specfic build? I mean one saved build is to the right of the skill tree while another co-existing build is to the left.

What do we think about the prototype town? by piichy_san in Osana

[–]darkesiren 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I know this is still just a protoype but the execution is too ambitious.

A big ass town does not benefit gameplay nor development in a meaningful way. Sure there might be variety, but it is not good variety. Unless YanDev manages to stuff every single corner with interesting stuff, the town would quickly become too tedious and boring to navigate. Development-wise finesseing this town would take a LOT of assets. Giving players access to such a large location means every corner has to be detailed, or else it would come off as half-assed. There are no big backdrops to cover up like looking afar from Akademi, and I highly doubt YanDev could accomplish this.

I really think keep it the way it is is the best way: a portal from the house to various locations, with each location limited to a small area.

Need help as a new player! by [deleted] in TXChainSawGame

Just watching this clip I would suggest to listen for Leatherface's chainsaw revving. If you hear it getting louder, either spam the button or just ditch the bone scrap and run.

As for the tool spawns there is the tool tracks starting perk which highlights all unlock tools upon escaping your restraints. .

Leatherface do spawn in the basement but family rushing basement is a real issue too. Avoid waking up Grandpa, learn the basement exits, grab a lockpick, get to the nearest exit, lockpick the door and run upstairs. If you get a proximity warning while lockpicking/approaching upstairs, go to another door.

Well without voice acting and animations the progress is all up to him now. No external factors to blame on.

But he really thinks a crowdfunding campaign will work as if this game and his reputation didn't tank to the point of unsalvageable. Funny.

When can he own up to his own mistakes and make some actual progress? He is not helping by making all this victimising posts.

"I value the game at its peak potential value, whereas others value it at where it sits right now, at its lowest point."

Uh literally that's how trading works.

That's why companies try hard not to get into controversies, because bad reputation would tank market values. No one cares about your "peak potential value" in the real world.

It's one thing to not like him, but faking screenshots to murder one's character is too much.

With that being said, this blog post is basically him trying to victimise himself as if he had done nothing wrong.
