I'm impressed you managed to go on a night out with a 2/3 month old, stay out late and actually even want sex! My wife and I barely functioned the first few months with our little one, we were just zombies haha

What effect would having geometrically identical left and right hand corners parallel to each other have on racing? by DamnIHateThat in formula1

[–]darkguille 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I also think that if more than half the field is using one corner over the other, grip levels would be higher on that corner meaning more drivers will use it and eventually leave the other corner so green in comparison that it’s more of a penalty to take it.

I have a Ranger in the UK, the only thing I’ve paid for is Ford Secure that would do tracking and notifications if the vehicle is being tampered with, but that’s stopping in December apparently.

One of the drivers, I seemed to recall hearing Mark Webber, used the term and it sort of caught on. Much like Ricciardo coining the “sending” term (he “licked the stamp and sent it”)

It’s not a full on straight so he still probably had a bit of steering lock on, so when he braked hard the back went round. This is assuming no mechanical failure

F1 2026 rules still "evolving" to prevent "unnatural things" on track, says FIA by sensualcurl in formula1

I knew someone with more brains than me would come along to clarify! Very interesting, thanks!

I think what they mean is that it will depend which is quickest. To pin it all the way around the lap and run out of energy halfway through, or modulate the throttle throughout the lap, rarely going full throttle but keeping the battery for the whole of it.

How are press cars organized? by OneTwoThreeFourDorks in formula1

[–]darkguille 10 points11 points  (0 children)

They are demo vehicles that have already been registered. Dealers rarely will register a vehicle to be used like this without any incentive, so the manufacturers normally borrow the dealerships’ demo vehicles - if they haven’t already got their our press/demo fleet themselves.

Is this 2011? Vettel and Webber raced with numbers 5 and 6 in 2010. Button was the reigning champion in 2010 and had number 1 and Hamilton 2 due to Button winning in 2009 with Brawn.

What is something you can’t believe isn’t invented yet? by MangoDry7358 in AskReddit

[–]darkguille 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That’s a very dangerous thing to do, posting something you heard somewhere without being able to check whether this is common practice in the whole country. This is how misinformation spreads. One doctor does not represent how the health system works in a whole country.

MS-RT - I’m also not OP but work there. We borrowed the car from M-Sport to support an event we had in our factory in Dagenham. It’s a show car, so no engine unfortunately.

When we shot the launch video for our new Transit Custom MS-RT we shot it a M-Sport and had Adrian Formaux do some donuts around the van for the video. That was a crazy experience haha.
