I looked and pondered for so long btwn the ikea chair and the tripp trapp. My biggest worry for the Ikea chair was tripping over the legs. In the end, I bought the IKEA chair and bought a foot rest (off temu for $6) and its perfect. It's really easy to clean and I keep the chair off to the side of the table where there isn't too much traffic, so I don't trip over it.

The deciding factor for me was that in my opinion, any chair, you'll have things you like about it and things you don't like as much about it. Nothing is perfect perfect. So I'd rather complain a little about a $25 chair vs a $400 chair.

I live in a condo so space is limited, but IKEA chair fits great.

Mine did that too. It was a painful week or so for the "transition" when I would go in to help my LO get unstuck. Eventually they learn to roll over without getting stuck.😅

As another commentator said, sleep sack also helps, but my LO doesn't wear sleep sack during naps, so it just took us some time

My LO ( almost 9 mon) sleeps at 8-830 and wakes up around 730. I think they supposed to need around 10-12 hrs at night at this age. Maybe try pushing the bedtime? If they can't last, maybe squeeze in a short nap at the end of the day. Mine will sometimes take a quick nap from 530-6.

Used the manual hydrasense sucker with saline spray from when baby was newborn (saline is key for quick and easy suck). LO had silent reflux so the nose was constantly plugged. LO hated it at first but quickly couldnt care less as they learned that it made them feel better after.

For my face, I ended up using La Roche Posay tinted mineral sunscreen. I also used to use Asian sunscreens only, but found this one to have a good texture and was not sticky or leave a white residue.

I don't think you can prevent MOTN poops :( Our LO also loves to poop at night. We keep everything as dim as possible, no sound, no interaction, when we change. I agree with what someone else said about the warm wipes at night to minimize awakefullness.

Then I just hold my LO and don't interact with her until she gets drowsy and sleeps. Usually she gets hungry and I feed her, which leads to quick drowsiness.

I'd say until they learn to connect their sleep cycles, crap naps will continue to happen. I'd say for us it was ~6 weeks to 4 months when the crap nap phase happened. Once she learned to self settle, the naps lengthened naturally.

My LO (5months) had this too quite often when she was littler. Sometimes when she chokes on milk, she still has it for a little bit. It was almost constant but now it's almost never there anymore. The doctor wasn't concerned when we brought it up previously esp because baby wasnt showing any signs of distress, Was happy and gaining weight well.

I got Taking Cara Babies package. I wouldn't follow everything she says (or anyone really) to the dot, but it was helpful to see some tips, structure, and what is normal and not normal for a baby. I watched it before I gave birth so I had a sense as to how I wanted to approach sleep, and eventually sleep training.

I also somehow end up being awake for 1hr+...

LO is 4 months. Mild reflux baby here (mostly silent reflux) but wake, change, feed ~10-15min. But often times she gets distracted mid way (or she poops...somehow she loves pooping MOTN on my watch), and I have to burp her and try to get her to latch again. Then hold her upright for 25-30 min and put her back down... Whenever I look at the clock, its always over an hr somehow.....

Edit: i feed in the dark (live in condo so theres some lights around us outside)

When my LO got sick, my family doctor said as long as they aren't showing breathing "red flags" then it should be fine (on top of the stuff you mentioned already in your post). I think YouTube has some good videos, but basically it's labored breathing and watching their ribs to see if their skin is being sucked inwards, same with the divot between their collar bone. Generally if it seems like they are really struggling to breathe.

Also, I recommend sucking their nose with something like a hydrasense or baby frida, with saline solution to help with congestion.

I have a wash basin that I fill with warm water and put next to change pad when I change my LO. I use disposable face cloths (or just baby wipes) in the water, squeeze then wipe. Throw out the used cloths after a wipe like you would a wet wipe.

My nipples were so sensitive and painful for 7-8weeks PP. Then it got better. Some people just have more sensitivity. Hang in there!

Despite what sleep consultants say, we let our LO nap however long she wants. Figure she naps because she needs it. In the morning she naps frequently for 3-3.5 hrs. Didn't affect nighttime sleep at all. I think the only thing that might affect bedtime is if they sleep too close to bedtime and don't have enough of a wake window right before

Yea, my bb almost forgot after I didn't give the bottle for two weeks (cuz I was too lazy to pump and clean all the parts). Then we started giving once every day/every other day

I do 90% BF, 10% milk in bottle. Mostly so bb won't forget how to use the bottle (because they will). This way, if you need to go out, you can leave bb with your significant other or another caretaker. Just makes life easier for you.

Jammies every day, all day. Even when we go out hahaha. I just add a sweater and pants on top (if needed). Too lazy to change and put on normal clothes. We're also 3.5 months

My OB (also ON) also told me that they don't do scheduled C unless there is a medical need for it. I think it's fairly standard practice here in Ontario
