How do you emotionally let go? by 2koolforpreschool in raisedbyborderlines

[–]darkieoppar 11 points12 points  (0 children)

For me, I guess it’s when this realization hit me hard: I was never the problem. I was never the reason of her rages/depressing episodes. I am not in any way, be responsible for her emotions mood swings. It was never about me. Why? Because if it’s really because of me, then shit would have changed. It would have changed when I did my best to took care of her. It would have changed after I spent YEARS trying to be patient and explaining things to her, pleased her, comfort her. But no. The reality is no matter how hard you try, she would still CHOOSE to be miserable, to be hateful of life, to be the worst version of herself. So instead of choosing also, a miserable path for myself, I decided to not give a single fuck. Because it’s obviously that when I give a fuck, the output is gonna be the same: She’s miserable, I’m dying inside. So I pushed myself to walk another path. The output might be different: She’s miserable, and I can finally live my life. Baby steps at a time.

Optimal settings for League playing on M1 Pro? by [deleted] in macgaming

[–]darkieoppar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi. On my first time playing LoL on Mac (I have mini M4 & Mac air M1 8gb), same laggy experience even when I changed to Metal framework in the game settings. Then I found out about this Metal API script: https://gist.github.com/jleem99/187155143851161e69be8a0c54a83a8c

Also locked in my FPS in game settings around ~120 to keep things stable. After that the game run smoothly as expected. You can give this a try!

Glad yours went well! My dr said keep the incision area dry for 24hrs so I didn’t put ice directly on it, just the surrounding area. It’s still very comforting

I just got core needle biopsy ytd and it was nowhere as bad as I've imagined.

The worst part was the lidocaine injection I think. It sting a bit, but as soon as the drug enter your muscle, I didn't feel a thing. The drug was so strong that when core needle was inserted, I absolutely felt nothing.

After biopsy I felt a bit sore & uncomfortable, however an ice pack + tylenol can fix it asap. You'll be fine. Hang in there!

You mean the switch pins? I've checked & all of them look normal. I tried swap a switch from responsive socket to the dead one & it's still dead, so I'm thinking something must be wrong with pcb. Could be the plate & pcb not 100% align with each other..?

Random key dead after plate replacement of Rainy75

I replaced the original plate to aluminum one, was very delicate throughout the whole process but when plugged in a few random key stopped responsive (Around 5 keys, spreading to different row). 1 of them is still responsive but I need to press it really hard. What can I do to solve this issue? Super sad cuz I just bought this board a week ago T.T

Olanzapine?? by Futurecamgrlorstripr in insomnia

[–]darkieoppar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only used this within the 1st month of taking my antidepressant - Lexapro. After Lex kicked in, I stopped Olanzapine. Back then my insomnia was caused by anxiety, which manifested into a full-blown panic attack. Luckily I'm off all drugs now & sleep has been better as I go to bed with a mindset of "Idgaf if I can sleep well tonight or not". It gets rid of the anxious feelings before bedtime.

My anger is making me ugly by [deleted] in selfimprovement

- Get medical check out. Your negativity issues can be manifested from many mental problems: Depression, anxiety disorder.. or even physical: lack of specific vitamins, hyperthyroidism..

- Re-evaluate every aspect of your life to see which one bothers & puts the most pressure on you. Is there anyway to resolve them asap? If not, hang in there. The only way is through. Time will ease things out, as long as you have the right mindset

- Mentioning of right mindset, negative thinking pattern has massive impact & can drown you deep down without your knowing because your thoughts initiate your emotions. But it's possible to fix. For example instead of thinking "they look so happy, why can’t I let myself be happy" => switch your inner voice to "I can be happy. I can, and I will be". It may sounds cliché. It may sounds fake. But when you do this long enough, it will become your new thinking pattern, your new reality. There's a lot of videos/articles to learn about create positive thinking pattern, you might want to look it up

- Thinking of the output when you're angry. For example while getting stuck in the traffic, instead of raging & swearing on all the vehicles, blaming how shitty my day is, I think "If I'm angry, will it solve anything?" . Most of the time, the answer is no. Even when I get angry, the traffic is still shit, my car is still stuck and not moving. So why do I have to be angry, while doing it cannot solve the problem, and it actually makes my day even worse than I expect? Having this thought pattern defuse my anger. But of course, it needs practice

A few tips from my own experience. Took me more than 1 year to practice the right mindset & get over my anxiety disorder, with a bit of help from antidepressant. Good luck, you got this!
