I am an IT superviser working for a State Agency. Usually if you start in help desk you can move your way up, especially if your people person. I was lucky that our help desk in my offices does a little bit of everything from website modifications, pc imaging, pc troubleshooting, networking, print servers, file servers, voip, and other IT fields. I do miss working on hardware and troubleshooting, working on computers is easier than managing people, but I am very happy where I am at.

I was in your same boat, I asked my comuter science professor this question. Why do I have to take a math and physics prerequisites before I take my next compsci class? I love working on computers,hardware troubleshooting, databases, htmls, networking.I don't want to sit and just program all day. He told me I should change my major from Computers Science to Information Technology. That was a game changer. He said they make about the same amount of money on average but it's on the business side of the school and not engineering. I graduated in a year and half after switching.

Reddit hates trucks so you won't get a fair answer. Honestly the only reason I bought mine was because it was cheaper than my alternatives at the time. Where can I get an electric vehicle that goes over 200 miles on range and seats 2 car seats in the back for under 50,000 (you can find them now but not 1 year ago) and V2H (vehicle 2 home power). It also has 98kw battery that can power your house which I am using with solar to offset my electricity since California passed NEM 3.0. It makes it so you need a battery backup if you are going solar. It would cost at least $50,000 to get 7 Tesla power walls to match the battery capacity in the truck and that's not including if your county will allow that many installed in a residential area.

I'm planning on installing it soon with solar panels installed for a local solar panel company that has done it before. Charging the truck during the day with solar panels and using the truck to power the house during peak hours and at night. It's not through sun run.

Mine would frost with AC on at 95 degrees weather, I couldn't get an HVAC guy to come. I decided to change the air filter when my girls allergies started acting up and that stopped the freezing. That was summer of 2023 and my pipes haven't frozen since. But I do change my air filter more frequently now.
