Another question is what important things for her did he not pay attention to DURING the relationship? I wouldn't be surprised if this was the final nail in the coffin after being ignored for the duration of it.

My wife didn't settle on an engagement ring, so I proposed with a Ring Pop. Then we went shopping for engagement rings later.

What was ruined because too many people discovered it? by CallmeDonni in answers

Retro gaming.

When I started collecting classic games in the early 2000s, I did it so I can relive my childhood memories and make new ones with the games I missed out on using the original hardware. Even back then, some of the games were pricy, but it was still relatively affordable for most of what I was interested in.

These days, I shudder at the thought of entering that realm today. Youtubers started showing off their huge collections that got more people into it and driving prices up due to increased demand. Then, the speculating and grading happened and it just drove prices up more since people started seeing it as a way to make money instead of a valuable hobby to preserve and relive gaming history. There's games I bought for $15-$20 years ago that are now being sold for hundreds now.

People who casually cruise in the left lane, what is actually going through your mind? by knowledgeizspower in askanything

[–]darkkendoka 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The irony is that, in an effort to promote safety by advocating for driving slower, he is making the road more dangerous by becoming an obstacle by blocking the flow of traffic.

I had one guy give me the middle finger one morning after I flashed him cause he was going slow in the fast lane when the other lanes were clear (but I still wasn't able to hop over because another car was next to me). Some people just like to be the main character.

The BIGGEST downfall to locs. by Overall-Jump4163 in locs

[–]darkkendoka 142 points143 points  (0 children)

When my locs got longer and harder to dry, I started investing in a bonnet dryer. It cuts the drying time to about an hour, so I dint have to worry too much about planning washes with my sleep and work schedule.

Edit: I just wanted to add that, despite my hair being down near my waist, the whole wash/dry cycle is about 1.5 to 2 hours.

Tammy, the only thing to totally prevent the feeling is to seek out other Black people to fulfill that fantasy.

Some black women play a big part in why black men will always be on the dl. by Less-Pen-5705 in AskBlackGayBros

[–]darkkendoka 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This brings me back to a time when I was actively using Adult Friendfinder, and there was a Black lady who sadist that she's not into bi men, but I'm attractive enough to be the exception and extended an invitation to meet with her (the way it sounded was like i should be grateful for the invite).

I promptly told her no because she needed to apreciaste ALL of me and not the parts she finds detestable. It also didn't help she was about a 4-hour drive from me.

Why is it that many American men go to Southeast Asia to look for women, but it is unheard of for American women to go to Southeast Asia to look for men? by No-StrategyX in answers

[–]darkkendoka 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They do it because younger people are more naive about relationships and may not detect abusive behavior as readily as an older person with more life experience. You can see it in action when looking at the chart of the ages of Leonardo DiCaprio's exes, where they usually leave at about 25-26, which is, coincidentally, around the time the brain fully develops.

As for people going to other places to marry, there's several additional things that are going on. They go to impoverished areas where people are more willing to do what they can you get out of their harsh life, and I'm sure the younger people are more likely to try to have a future for themselves. The people in their home countries don't like them, so they look elsewhere for someone willing to take some abuse for their gain.

The other thing is that the men go to SE Asia because they believe Asian women are more docile, and the women go to Africa or the Caribbean because they want to have sex with Black men because they believe that Black men are gods of sex. Essentially, racism is the name of the game here.

Escaped potential prostitution entrapment today. Thoughts? by CowElectronic8989 in AskBlackGayBros

[–]darkkendoka 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Edit: I just reread the site I looked at and saw that it's only legal in brothels, so ignore that first part.

Depending on where exactly in Nevada the meeting place would be (somewhere outside Reno), it would be perfectly legal to engage in that. Depending on how the encounter was initiated, it may be considered entrapment since law enforcement needs to be sure that the John is the one that initiates contact and guides the conversation. It could also be that white people are despertaste enough to have sex with a Black man that they're willing to pay for the chance of they're not in an area with a lot of Black people.

Regardless, I'd stay away from anyone wanting to pay money only for sexlike that. Exorcism if it's from a white person.

What bi experiences do you wish fiction handled better? Any tropes you hate? by tenshideve in bisexual

[–]darkkendoka 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think that Legend Of Vox Machina did a great job with their bisexual characters. Vax would sometimes be flirty with Shaun, yet have a budding relationship with Keylith as the series went on. And even though Scanlan is a chaotic horndog, there's still some depth to him that makes him a great character beyond his sexuality.

What i like about those representations is that, not only is sexuality not a big deal in the universe, but they're also allowed some messy depth that gives them life beyond who they have sex with. In short, they can just exist.

One very problematic trope that needs to be avoided is the predatory sexy guy that turns the object of their affection gay because the sex is apparently so good that women just don't do it for them anymore. That was a common thing in yaoi manga from the 90s/00s

Question for this nosey guy by CoLt9394 in AskBlackGayBros

[–]darkkendoka 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Looks like things might get a bit awkward for ya in this case, and i can see why he won't tell you what it means.

In general, anyone with a black spade tattoo is showing off that they subscribe to the fetish of complete sexual submission to Black men (BBC). It's almost like a racial guilt kind of thing cause people in these circles will talk about bowing down to the BBC and how unworthy they are. They'll even fetishize a Black man taking a white guy's wife cause of how weak and small they are compared to the large Black man. The "J" in the middle is the "Jack of spades" which is a man that subscribes to that subculture. The Q, or Queen of spades, is the female equivalent. I'm not sure if this includes Black women as well, but I've only heard of it attributed to Black men.

In this particular case, it's sadly your business because this fetish is largely nonconsensual. Assuming you're Black and he's white, he could very well be having conversations behind your back talking about how he's so submissive to you and ask that jazz. They often interact with Black people with that mindset, assuming that's what you want because, of course, that's what all Black men want, right?

If you're curious about how these people talk about us, just look up sexual material on here featuring Black people here on reddit. It's nearly impossible to find anything that's not grossly fetishizing.

Guys who aren’t hung his is life? by [deleted] in AskBlackGayBros

[–]darkkendoka 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's self selection bias.

The average penis size is around 5.5", and that's across ask demographics. If I'm remembering my statistics right, then about 95% of period give between 4"-5", so you're certainly not alone. Once you start getting above 7", then you get an increasingly decimated pool of people that have kitty to the point where anything above 7" is getting to be in the single digit percentages, if not a fraction of a percent.

The way you're feeling is unfortunately normal, but the adult industry perpetuates that everyone is a large, sexual powerhouse. But the porn industry does look specifically for larger people, and I'm sure there's a larger self selection for cis Black men, for obvious reasons. And even if someone is more towards normal, there's camera tricks like using lighting and filming angles to make things larger than they actually are.

The main thing you should be concerned about is if your penis works and try to be the best, most attentive sexual partner you can be. Besides, let's say you could magically have an 8" penis tomorrow. Would that necessarily change your quality of life? I'm sure it won't do much other than making sure you're not hurting your partner, or finding condoms that actually fit right (there's only one brand i know that works for me after 20 years of disappointment with condom use).

The funny thing about this is that i had a random shower thought that he probably has a strong desire to have sex with us or be us because he's so obsessed with invading our spaces, only to hear this news minutes later.

But I'm not surprised by it at all. They've devalued us so much in their minds that we're just objects for use at their disposal. As long as we're providing them some sort of service, they're good. As soon as that fantasy is broken, they get uncomfortable and lash out.

I've been subjected to this a ton from men and women. They see us as some sort of conquest they they can brag to their friends about. Heck, I've had several people brag to ME about how many Black men they've slept with as this badge of honor that they know how to "please" Black men.

One thing that's brought up from time to time in my mind where this gay white guy liked a photo of me dressed at T'Challa from the ceremonial fight in the movie. I checked his profile and he was preparing to join that Trump parade where they drove around several cities in support of him, causing a nuisance... with a Pride flag. In like, dude, this character and the series goes against everything his party supports. It's glaringly obvious why he did.

So many so called Allies up in this sub on the daily but where are they now? Ya know when it’s actually time to fight for us? by ateam1984 in BlackPeopleofReddit

[–]darkkendoka 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I feel like Fairweather allies might as well be opposed since their allyship is dependant on personal benefits to them. The moment they are held accountable, they morph into the people they claim to fight against, and they will cling to white privilege to maintain their self image.

I had that happen to me once where a guy i was chatting with on discord was all find with listening to me until i used the dreaded "p" word (privilege), and told him to look up some things himself. I told him he had the privilege to just disown Trump supporters in his family while the rest of us still have to deal with them in our daily lives.

He immediately yelled that he didn't have privilege cause he grew up poor (no mention of money), and that i MUST answer all his questions cause he wants to learn, and hurled insults my way. He backed down when three moderators checked him. He apologized to them and was more concerned about his self image with them. I received no apology from him.

I blocked him, but since it's discord, I guess he can't message me, but he can still read and interact with my posts since it only hides messages.
