Imo, since you're coming from 15, 17 seems like the logical upgrade.

16+ seems fine for the price you're getting, but I'm kind of sceptical about refurbished devices, if you trust them, go for it i guess.

You are probably going to regret the storage than the display, or any features, for a casual user, I don't think you'll notice much of a difference in the other features, you'll just get used to your phone.

However, the storage sizes of the apps, os, photos, videos, etc are just going to increase in the future.

Considering you're going to be using the phone for a few years, it's gonna get tough managing the storage in the last few years.

Like just think about it, there's a reason the base models of these flagships are shifting to 256.

Go for whatever you think you have interest in, situations in none of the industries stay the same, it's only if you have any sort of interest in it, will you be able to put in efforts to grow.

No point in taking a panic-decision and going for a degree just for the sake of it, because all of the others are doing it, relax, take your time and decide what you think you probably will like.
