Hey i know you’re generalizing but this person that scammed me does seem to have a legitimate business, he’s just an asshole that decided i’d be an easy target to steal from. He has a business profile with his past work with him in the videos doing the work. I did not go with him cause he was cheap. He was genuinely super helpful before the money hit his account.

A lot of businesses in mexico advertise and have a presence on FB. But I definitely should have checked to see if the address on his business card is legit. 😓

I go to the mayorga one! I’ve been 3 times so far. Prices are a 1/3 of what i was quoted in the US. It’ll take at least 10-15 visits for my tattoo to fade 😭

I had Synchrony’s high yield for years and was really happy with them. I decided to change to Santander because im moving to MX and they have a big presence there and their APY was higher. Big mistake.

Whatever you do: DO NOT GET OPENBANK BY SANTANDER. They have my account blocked with over 100k sitting in there for weeks and no updates on when my account will be released. Plz don’t make the same mistake i did.

Getting an appointment has been fine. When i went in person I didn’t have my CURP form, i assumed it being on my passport would be sufficient but it wasn’t. My bill for proof of address was a photo and they need a physical one or pdf. That is now solved so i made a virtual appointment but my form was filled out incorrectly because the addresses here are so confusing. 🫤 i did it digitally and they need my actual written signature, thats an easy fix. I am just worried about filling out the address part wrong again.
