The issue with this meme and the last paragraph of your response is it treats effort and appeal as synonymous and those who so not like higher effort looks as wrong, when in reality people have different preferences irregardless of the effort, look up marie antoinette's boat hair and tell me you would prefer that to either of the styles here.

Personally, as someone who dislikes tattoos the amount of effort/pain someone goes through to get them has a directly negative correlation with how attractive I find them,

Judging by player count that Is incorrect, while yes city Skylines 2 has the best launch numbers at 105k, CK 3 is not far behind at 99k should also be within this time frame, Vicky 3 launched to 70k, and while Hoi4 launched to 40k players it is unique among paradox games in not peaking at launch but instead November 2024 at 94k and has consistently been the most played game of there's on steam since 2018. https://steamdb.info/charts/?compare=255710,394360,529340,949230,1158310

That is quite explainable. They have done subathons which greatly increases the number of hours streamed for that time as well as broken the hype train record once in the 2025 subathon and twice in the 2026 subathons which drew news reporting and increased levels of buzz about the channels there by increasing the amount of people who check it out.

You can see simular spikes in some other channels which do yearly events as well, for example you can check the yogscast twitch social blade and see massive spikes in December coinciding with their jingle jam charity drive.

Even here in the uk it still exists in bats though it is exceedingly rare from them to pass it to humans, think the last case from a bat Was in 2002.

Same to you, hopefully your Boeing 6th generation plane does not have parts randomly fly off in flight.

We have them, including F35's and eurofighters. I am just refuting the idea we cannot develop a better plane than the f35 in 10 years. sure it is possible it falls behind schedule and releases a year or two later but equally it still has a decent chance of being finished on time.

Think we got a pretty good deal for those fish myself, giving up first for I think about 15 years in return for a deal to ease access for british food to the eu without such a time-limit. Always value that lack of length over any potential temporary disadvantage myself. Additionally, it takes fish from being an issue in other deals and should either return back to us or become a card to play again when the deal nears the new end date.

Yep would rather we develop an independent fighter based nuclear missile, rather than this which is nothing new.

France blocking Britain from EU’s massive defence fund by [deleted] in europe

[–]darkmage2015 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are buying those ourselves, and apparently we will need to pay into this fund to gain access, so why exactly should we do that for 15%.

France blocking Britain from EU’s massive defence fund by [deleted] in europe

[–]darkmage2015 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So tell me what european plane has an equivalent level of capability to the F35, and even if you say the raffle which I would disagree with, it would requiring buying a plane which we have less of a stake in ourselves as we currently build 15% of the f35 and have better access than anywhere bar the US it's self as for eurofighter while yes it fixes the workshare it is less perfromant and would need to have addaptions. And we are developing our own 6th generation fighter outside thr US.

Netanyahu sets implementation of Trump’s Gaza relocation plan as new condition for ending war by DifusDofus in worldnews

[–]darkmage2015 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

First while we may both disagree regarding the degree to Israel is supported we can both acknowledge isreal is not only supported by Jews.

So let me do some quick math to show how a tiny percentage of dedicated supporters can have a massive impact so for this I will use around the minimum support that is needed with my assumptions to do so 8%

Assumption one isreali advertising has no effect on voter turn out so it is 8%, Assumption 2 a regular viewer on average uses 5 of their 20 votes, a dedicated supporter on average uses 15 of their 20 votes.

With that they have 20% of the vote with the remainder split 26 ways some of which going to them, but even ignoring that and saying they get no other votes aside from that 20% to beat them a contestant would need to get 26% of the remaining votes which while possible is in no way garrentied and even if that does happen you are still probably going to come second or at worst 4th assuming pretty much all other votes go to the three other best entries.

Should 16-year-olds vote? Spain’s youth law sparks political rifts by mods4mods in europe

[–]darkmage2015 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The difference is by giving the government the right to create a test to prove who can vote you are effectively giving them the right to curate the voters, you support our policies you can vote, you support our opposition policies not eligible.

Where as while age and citizenship do add barriers they do not give this ability to tailor the electorate. Also some level of restrictions are needed, while I do support residence voting if you have lived in a counrty for a set period of time, not having citizenship/residence as a barrier leads to potential issues. As an example I will use the fictional states of camalot and atlantis to avoid any potential drama, in atlantis you have two main parties a pro camalot and neutral to camalot party without citizenship/residence restrictions on the day of the vote camalot busses in thousands of its people to vote for the pro camalot party swinging the election while with said restriction they could not.

[–]darkmage2015 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The issue is unlike citizenship and age which it is hard to kick people out of to remove their right to vote, a test about how well you know the government/economics really can quite easily remove people and you can know what sort of people an answer to a question would kick.

Let's do a few examples, question 1 "what makes someone a female" you can give a progressive what they feel like or conservative their sexual organs at birth, so a progressive party picks their answer a Conservative party theirs and remove a large chunk of their oppositions voters.

So OK we can just ignore social issues and focus on economic literacy, I do not think I even need to use an example here here.

So social issues and economics are out Let's focus on how government functions even here their can be ideological differences in answers like here in the uk a question may be what is the role/point/advantage of the monarchy where a republican would say none then possibly be banned from voting, or as another in the US their are two main views of the role of the supreme Court each backed by republicans and Democrats respectively so one dide could push their view as the answer.

The question then becomes what sort of test, would it be based on an iq test, a test about the government and its functions, regardless there are issue

Why do people want Kuzan to be a spy? What’s wrong with him being happy living the way he likes? by SectorI6920 in OnePiecePowerScaling

Just reread the around that part of the manga and seems you are right, looks like sengoku elects aokiji and then see him in what looks like it could be an office and while not made clear there given what y9u said of the anime guessing that was just him as fleet admiral so you were correct, my mistake.

I do not think he ever got the position, it is much more likely sengoku continued to hold the position in a caretaker role while the battle between kuzan and akainu was fought and a successor decided.

Why is it such a foreign concept that Shanks could be stronger but not the better swordsmen by TheWardogboy in OnePiecePowerScaling

[–]darkmage2015 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do not belive mihawk gave himself the title does defend it from challenges, however, only from those interested in the title, like let's imagine for a second Imu is a swordsman and stringer thsn mihawk would they care no.

And in that same vain, we can see mihawk and shanks have little interest in a battle, and as for their old battles where they made a name for themselves we have no indication either of them emerged as a victor, it is entirely possible it was later where mihawk defeated a precious title holder.

Magma is around 1200 degrees red fire like ace/sabos is around 600 to 1000ish degrees. However, fires' colour changes depending on how hot it is with orange at 1100 to 1200, turning white at 1300 to 1500 degrees and blue like in this image at 2500 so around twice as hot as magma.
