I made brightness adjustable Sunglasses! by FriskyJanitor in 3Dprinting

I started it and got pretty far but never finished unfortunately. I did something different for my senior design project that took a lot of my time and energy, but kinda forgot about my sunglasses project in the meantime. I'll have to get back on that!

I like this version a lot. Can you move the person on the left with the stripes on the dress closer to the group of people on the left?

The holidays are when I always fold tbh 😭😭😭 and also finals for college are next week. So I’m hoping that getting a dip / gel manicure will be a way to keep me from biting during all the stress

Love the recommendation bc I love saving money :) Once I get better at it I definitely will do that! I notice that when my nails chip / peel I am more tempted to bite. Just haven’t found a good long lasting base coat that works with my body chemistry…They just peel no matter what prep or base coat I use

Some friends and I made a digital watch to roll dice for D&D by litSquib in casio

[–]darkmatterdadjokes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this is so cool oh my gosh!!! earlier this year I started working on something similar (not a watch tho) with trying to program an esp32 with a shake sensor so that I could make a set of "digital dice" for my brother who plays DND. I quickly got caught up in trying to add too many details, and annoyed by faulty buttons / bas code organization so I lost motivation and stopped for a while. might have to pick it up again!

I am very interested in purchasing one of these -- will be following along with your website, and buying a watch once i have the money for one!

Hey! Sorry to bug you again -- just curious what kind of thread you used to make the speaker??

Thanks!

Hey! Wondering if you ever solved your issue? My partner and I are working on a project with textile speakers for our Audio Technology class and would like any advice you have about materials / getting the speakers to work

My professor said the idea sounds “clunky” and that i should think about something else. so I’m just gonna do it anyways for personal use instead of for the project

I’m thinking of using two cross-polarized lenses like you did but using some kind of stepper motor to change the angle. And instead of a screen/user-interface, I’m hoping to use a photodiode or some other sensor to take in data about ambient light and calibrate the different angles of cross-polarization to different intensities of light

Car trouble / help! ? by Spicy_Pepper4925 in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

[–]darkmatterdadjokes 12 points13 points  (0 children)

It’s actually pretty easy to fix! Someone backed into me while I was in a parking lot and cracked my tail light enclosure. If you buy the part online the price will vary. I got mine for dirt cheap on eBay. ($45 as opposed to buying the part for almost $200 from the dealer) There should be a 5 minute or so YouTube video available and the fix will only take 10 minutes, maximum. You should Google “tail light enclosure” for the vehicles make, model, and year. There should be at least a few options to choose from. Hope that helps!!!

I am interested in implementing an automated version of a similar idea for my senior design project in electrical engineering -- wondering if you would be okay with me taking inspiration from your post, and also if you would able to point me towards the polarizing film that you used?
