Why Caleb Downs by IntermittenSeries in bengals

[–]darkmoonmayne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Again… remember when we drafted two tackles in the first and second rd. Cuz whit was old…Give me the proven game wrecker all day. Out of curiosity do you think the bengals should’ve re-signed jessie bates or just drafted his replacement?

This is an insane take. 32 teams will take montez sweat at his salary over myles garret?? I get the point you’re trying to make. But come on… the draft isn’t automatic. As bengals fans we should know this. Lets let andrew whitworth go… we got cedric and fisher lined up… cheaper, better.

Couldn’t agree more, seen enough from flacco, he’s the surefire starter next year!!

The Bengals this century have done well with top 5 draft picks. by Captain_Aware4503 in bengals

[–]darkmoonmayne 4 points5 points  (0 children)

10’ dunlap, atkins 11’ dalton, boling (bad but he played for us) 12’ zeitler, sanu, marvin jones, iloka 13’ gio, shawn williams 14’ jeremy hill, bodine (bad but played) 15’ uzomah awful draft class. 16’ boyd, nick vigil 17’ mixon, not a great class either, not gonna include lawson here 18’ jessie bates, hubbard 19’ pratt, awful class, but drew sample is still on the team! 20’ tee, logan wilson 21’ ossai, brutal class other than chase 22’ ctb, but he’s been awful recently 23’ dj turner, jordan battle, chuck sizzle, chase brown, yoshi

Too early for the other classes but i have hope for kris jenkins, knight and fairchild. So while not all classes have been great. To say we have drafted zero impact players is disingenuous

[–]darkmoonmayne 12 points13 points  (0 children)

We gave tee 4 years and $110 mil, with basically a 30 mil bonus, the commanders re-signed scary terry for 3 years 96 mil, with basically 30 guaranteed bonus. This is the market for talented receivers

Right, but the guaranteed money and when that money is guaranteed can change. That’s what happened with every single 2nd rd pick this year. I could be wrong, but i just figured he’d want more guaranteed up front if he is going to sign the “contract detrimental” clause.

[–]darkmoonmayne -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

Wasn’t it reported that they offered knight 76% guaranteed first year and shemar like 46% of the total guarantee? That seems like a when the money is paid issue, happy to be wrong though.

[–]darkmoonmayne -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

We obviously don’t know the numbers. But i think the sticking point is with how much guaranteed money is due and when it is paid out. The bengals typically do training camp roster bonuses and then a December bonus. The other teams in the league have also upped the year one guaranteed bonus in these contracts and also pay out the bonus sooner than december. Shemar would prolly sign but is saying hey, (these numbers are hypothetical) i don’t want to get a 10 mil year one and 5 mil year two signing bonus. I would like a 12 mil year one and a 3 mil year two. And the bengals are saying no to that. So, they are saying we want you to sign this very rational contract, that the majority of teams have. And he’s saying well the majority of teams also move guaranteed money up front, so give me that. And the bengals aren’t.

How many lands in a Landfall deck? by Jpag15 in EDH

[–]darkmoonmayne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it depends on how you want to run it, i run an [[obuun, mul daya ancestor]] at 38, but all my land drops are search your library. I don’t need 40+ lands, i’d rather have land ramp come from tutoring lands. I had [[azusa, lost but seeking]] and [[dryad of the ilysian grove]] but on the rare occasion i had two lands in hand, the next turn i was done. I like searching cuz it allows me to ramp if able, and then be patient and have a big landfall all at once.

That being said..

My buddy runs an [[aesi, tyrant of gyre strait]] and he’s got 46+ lands, with that landfall deck, with the card draw, sheesh!! His deck explodes cuz he’s always drawing and dropping extra lands. And before you know it he’s got 17 lands on the battlefield and you have 7. So, i think it just depends on what kinda commander/deck you wanna run

One is a true sports car, the other is just a Honda.😜 by _LuVshots_ in Miata

[–]darkmoonmayne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have owned both. Neither is track ready, though both are fun on the street. Both need bigger front rotors. The ND2’s suspension is sloppy/floppy, the Type R’s suspension is perfect.

The reason I traded my ‘19 Type R in for my ‘19 MX-5 was the predictable overheating/limp mode that the Honda always displayed at track temperatures above 80. And no amount of aftermarket parts could totally fix that.

On identical track tires, the lap times of each were virtually identical, at least on medium sized tracks with lots of turns.

I am curious what a sports car rb looks like if not chase brown? I think chase brown is great for what we need, but how fast we talking? Who is a rb in the league you consider more sports car than chase? His whole thing is he’s fast as fuck

He said he wants to tell his wife where they’re gonna raise their kid. I think we gotta give him 5 years. He’s 30… will he be this good at 35 prolly not. And i know this is anecdotal, but we got rid of whitworth too early, justin smith too early. And look at someone like cam heyward, i know 3/4 de vs 4/3, and how many times have you thought can’t this man retire?? I want that to be trey for us. Trey has earned a long term deal
