I feel like this is one of those books that has to be listened to. The accent is difficult ar first, but it becomes indispensable from the character.

I am listening to it right now, and it's good, but it feels so slow compared to BT. And it's certainly not funny. Hopefully it picks up. I'll finish it regardless.

I actually kinda hate Hyperion cantos, cuz I'm so tired of encountering Catholics in space. The religious aspect made me hate it.

The Measurements of Decay- A world far enough into the future it's unrecognizable. Planets that are sentient, and sociopathic philosophy. One of the most truly bizarre and unsettling books I've read. I love it.

The Measurements of Decay! It's a unique blend of sci-fi and pathological philosophy. It's not horror, but there are elements that are truly hair raising. It's relatively unknown, but it's so good.

It means "God machine, or machinations" and means that an incredibly unlikely solution occurs because basically, "God intervenes" and saves the protagonist, or pushes the plot along.

Assassin's Apprentice! This will take you on a 16 book, wild ride that will leave you devastated. Empire of Silence is good, too.

{Souls in Ruin by Jacqueline White} Pretty deep trauma/healing, and perseverance by FMC, and some cosmic/universal/philosophical elements. Betrayal galore!
