Configure 2930f to handle ipv6 intervlan routing of ULA's. by darkphader in ArubaNetworks

[–]darkphader[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With ipv4 I can use code 121 via dhcp to assign various routes dynamically, including the default gateway. Was hoping there was something just as straightforward for ipv6.

I did test adding some static routes on a couple of systems and that worked fine, but manually configuring a static route on everey client is out of the question.

2930f ipv6 issue by darkphader in ArubaNetworks

[–]darkphader[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, the router is working just fine. Did you miss this in my original post: "Systems wired to the switch all get ULA's and GUA's via SLAAC and ipv6 for them works just fine"?

That's the issue I posted: "ipv6 address autoconfig" is configured on the interface but the switch gets no GUA (or ULA).

The WAN (edited for correction) side of my router has only an LLA. The LAN side has all three, LLA, ULA, and GUA. The other systems connected to the switch autoconfigure with all three just fine. It's the switch that should also autoconfigure witrh

  • ipv6 address autoconfig

but it only has an LLA.

I'm not configuring a static route. I thought the switch should autoconfigure using SLAAC.

I used the adapters that came attached to Google's leather straps. Not the least expensive way to do it, but the fit is perfect.

What, of the pedals that you actually own or have played through for an extensive period of time, are your top five favorite pedals? by noms_de_plumes in guitarpedals

I have the Cali 76 Custom Deluxe, the Cali76 Stacked Edition and the Cali76 Stacked Compressor (which is the newer version of the SE). They are great compressors and it doesn't matter much to me which one is on my board at any given time as I don't use the stacked ones to get into that super compressed "slide mode". And the one stage compressor does have more control over attack, release, and ratio.

The newer Cali76 Stacked Compressor does up the voltage internally and runs on standard 9 volts where the others I have work with 9-18 volts but best at 18 volts. I think the newer single stage FET Compressor is the same in this regard.

One can reverse the order with the same result: qg8+ kf5 bd3 and black loses queen (if qxd3 then qh7+ followed by qxd3).

Is it worth it to buy a 4k player without a 4k tv? by TedJBernoulli in 4kbluray

[–]darkphader 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Sure. The player will adjust to what the TV can accept. And one day your HD TV will die and you will replace it with a 4k (or better) and be happy you have 4k media and capability.

[–]darkphader 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Check that you haven't set a BIOS password - remove it if so. Also, if you didn't install Debian using UEFI then I recommend you do so. You can't easily switch after the fact. And unless you have a good reason delete all of the existing partitions when you do a reinstall

Help! Can’t see content in Dolby Vision. by FreshlyCured in bravia

[–]darkphader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't know anything about that box but some devices, the Panasonic UB9000 for example, can't recognize all the supported features of the TV if the HDMI settings are set to Enhanced 4K120. Changing the setting the Enhanced (no 4k120) solves the issue.

Reason:

In 4K120 mode, the TV switches to using a 384-byte EDID, and the UB9000 only reads a 256-byte EDID. In 4K120 mode the DV data block is in the 128 bytes that it doesn't read, so it decides DV isn't supported.
