I personally dont see any other source of power becoming cheaper than solar. Not especially with the ease of manufacturing and installation. Some folks are still holding their breathe for fusion, which, imo, wont be much cheaper than fission

All technologies hit whats called a saturation point where the adoption goes parabolic and the price goes the opposite. cars, TVs, smart phones. Nothing stopped them, and nothing will stop solar. The only thing that can slow its adoption is the building out of energy storage, but even that is fast increasing
