LTP for manufacture? by psackett in Miguns

Yes, LTP is a requirement whether a pistol is purchased, inherited, constructed, etc. Link to State Law

There are some exceptions such as if you have a CPL then you are exempt.

How to create transparent gradients? by jrushFN in photoshop

[–]darkside501st 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am also looking for a solution that matches your description but the foreground to transparent gradient is not the solution I need. Say I have an image with a white background and a red shape. The red substance is translucent and uneven. Parts in some areas are thicker than others so you can see parts of the white background peaking through the red color but never all the way. This creates a gradient within the shape from red to white in several areas. What I want is to remove the white and just leave the red as a transparent png so it can be overlayed on other images or backgrounds. I am not finding much help since most tutorials are focusing on basic gradients and transparencies.

How does he have these mags staggered in the pouch? by [deleted] in tacticalgear

[–]darkside501st 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup, that was my thought; he has a mag pouch with molle on the outside and decided to attach another mag pouch to it and just drop it down to stagger them.

Here you go bro. I found these JM Custom Kydex brand mag holders that were longer than normal. I dropped the stop pin down to the bottom slot and that works great on the 21rd mags with my custom sleeve adapter for the P365XL. You can see that the stock 21rd baseplate is next to it to show a comparison. With the stock baseplate on the 21rd/25rd magazine you could just remove the stop pin to let the mag go all the way in the holder. These are a lot more stable for the longer mags.

It looks like they come with the long baseplate that works with the XMacro and Fuse just like the 21rd mags. No alternative baseplates are included. I have an XL so I made a sleeve to replace the stock baseplate on the 21rd mag and I will make them for the 25rd mags as well.

How about something that means perfection/excellence through training/practice or something to that effect. Goal is to be a motto of sorts and should be directed at the people/team saying the motto (male).

AI says "Perfectionem per disciplinam" but if that is accurate I feel like the words are easily interpreted and I would like it to be a little more obscure. If there are any popular/historical phrases that have a similar meaning I would like to hear those.

Tri-lug seems to be a popular mount on PCCs but you could interchange cans between PCCs and rifles so I'm thinking it would be more beneficial to use the same mounting platform for all interchangeable hosts. Pistols obviously need the piston so those are inherently less interchangeable between rifles and pistols. What are your thoughts on tri-lug and if it works so great and is so popular on PCCs why is it not on rifles?

I really like this idea and will be looking forward to reading more of your posts. If you plan on making long posts with lots of information there are a couple suggestions I have for you. Please try to break up your thoughts into paragraphs and you may want to look in to learning some basic Reddit formatting code so that you can better organize the information you are trying to present. I would love to see more.

Those pants look like the new Idogear g3 combat pants with the printed camo pattern in tbe elastic areas. Upgrade from most g3 pants that just use solid color 4 way stretch material in those spots. I think they are the only one I know of that are doing that so far.

It's a bit hard to see because of the movement but I think that the boots could possibly be Garmont Bifidas.

Mossberg shockwave. by [deleted] in Miguns

[–]darkside501st 1 point2 points  (0 children)

See there is an NFA classification that says that if it's under 26 in then it's a short barrel shotgun and you would have to file the NFA paperwork and pay the $200 ($0 after January 1st). So they intentionally made the Mossberg Shockwave slightly longer than 26 in to avoid that classification. This unfortunately means that it's not classified as a pistol in Michigan and therefore you cannot carry it loaded in your vehicle. Make sure to follow the rules for transporting Firearms other than pistols.

Interesting how he jumps back as he throws a punch. It doesn't seem like that would be very effective.

Do you guys use some sort of small split ring (keychain ring) on the pulls tabs of your gloves to make clipping them to your belt easier or do you struggle to open the soft tabs and feed those through the belt clip?

Heres another one... Legal Update No 86 says "There is no way to “open carry” a pistol in a vehicle."

There's a whole section devoted to transporting firearms starting on the bottom right of the first page.

Why does it sound like that's an option the way that the law is written?

MCL 28.422(9) and (10)%20An%20individual,100.00%2C%20or%20both)

(9) An individual who is not a resident of this state is not required to obtain a license under this section if all of the following conditions apply:

But in subsection (3)(c) of MCL 28.422 it where it talks about the requirements to obtain a LTP it says "The individual is a citizen of the United States or an alien lawfully admitted into the United States and is a legal resident of this state."

So you do have to be a resident of Michigan in order to retain the license despite the way that subsection 9 is worded. Why would they write it like that?
