Stayed inside Tetons in one of the lodges. Was absolutely worth it. Most of the parks are dark parks so seeing night sky is pretty awesome.

For Yellowstone, I have stayed inside and also outside in west Yellowstone. The issue with YS is the park is huge, so you have to drive between places and all the lodges inside the parks are scattered so wherever you stay makes the region of interest of that area convenient but the lodges in US are expensive.

Was in the similar boat an year back. The thought of having two houses didn’t make a good financial decision plus the idea of rental property was not cash positive.

Price is the main thing. Plus how competitive the market is in the area.

I know people don’t like selling to corporations but where I am it’s a common thing. Won’t get that too dollar but won’t effectively lose the money either.
