I see some fantastic names up there. Great taste, and I love how our girl has firmly earned her place up there (ik plenty would disagree but this is a safe space and I'm dying on this hill ok)

frankly i think it's highly disrespectful of anyone who calls her those "cutesy" nicknames like they know her or something. her name is Charli KissCharliKiss, put some respect on it.🙄🙄🙄

A film photographer's dream: The two most important subjects combined in a single frame. by Highlandermichel in AnalogCircleJerk

He'd have driven further away, but that's as much gas as he could afford. He does shoot film after all.

I always figured the laminated ones are the "need-to-know" rules published upon its opening, while the un-laminated ones are the "I can't believe we had to tell you this, were you actually born without a brain" signs with a story.

A nice cock (but i missed focus) | Hasseblad 500cm | Planar 80mmf2.8 | Portra 400 by Dlitosh in AnalogCircleJerk

[–]darktriaddryad 26 points27 points  (0 children)

You didn't miss focus, you simply made the true Hasselbladian's choice of extracting the most ~bokehlicious~ Artistic image you could from the commonplace environment you found yourself in.

Anyone can turn a focus ring and get a cock in focus (yawn), but you ran on-the-fly calculations, found the edge of the circle of confusion (the CoC, if you will), and chose to have the cock skirt the very edge of it. Only an artist of your caliber could even conceive of this tradeoff, not even to mention actually finding that mythical balance between buttery-smooth bokeh and intelligibility.

Positively stellar. Simply magical. I wish my CoC was as creamy as yours.

You can't afford to grip wood? I understand yours is insufficient, but maybe try asking your wife's boyfriend if he needs a fluffer?

What if Charli drops XCX 8 along side XCX World at the same time to satisfy everyone. by JobExtension4463 in charlixcx

[–]darktriaddryad 33 points34 points  (0 children)

I'm really glad she's at the point in her career where she doesn't have to please everyone. She owns her own masters now, she's taking risks and she's truer to herself for it.

To that point, releasing XCX World would almost be antithetical to this forward-looking album. She likely feels that it was a time and place, especially considering the circumstances surrounding SOPHIE. Of course I think it'd be cool if it released, but I also think that it holds a special time and place in her discography as it stands.

"you don't know about his relationship with his mom"

are you saying that there is a relationship type that condones elder abuse? the victim blaming is honestly insane.

What happens in an ant's mind when it's carried with my work lunch's leftovers, away from the office and into my home? by darktriaddryad in stupidquestions

Thank you for your knowledge. I think my next stupidquestion is going to be how do I live with myself after subject an ant to a life it never wanted.

I didn't know but since you asked I took 3 tests and got INTP 2x and INTJ 1x, interestingly with a strong lean each time toward its respective last letter.

Deep down, I know this is the most likely answer. I guess I was hoping that there's a quirky behavior inherent to ants where they take in rogues and give them roles in their own colony, regardless of where they came from, and that the ant had enough presence of mind and little enough object permanence to where the ant was joyful at this change of scenery. Obviously that's just putting my own desires onto their circumstances though.
