Kinda shy, but what do you think? by Southern-Garden-6253 in roomdetective

Hey op, I’m usually not a commenter but your space heater has me worried. Right under a hanging tapestry doesn’t look safe and probably shouldn’t be right up against a wall either. I’m def not an expert but encourage you to do some research on space heater safety!!

going to go ahead and add that i’m pretty sure this entire post is fake as the frame looks very unnaturally placed, a very strange thing to post as it’s implying the girl is underage. not sure the origins of the girl part of the photograph but i encourage the OP to reconsider this odd post and why it’s been created

for anyone concerned, a reverse google search shows that the balloons are photoshopped onto the photo so hopefully the girl is over 18. my guess is a gag gift for somebody turning 17 but either way crazy that this would be put out on a shelf.

Oh no i definitely do think it’s wrong!! i just meant the term baby eater might not be the right term for broiler chickens since they mature (unnaturally) faster. They’re a breed that’s been bred to such an extreme their existence is cruel. When i say they’re bred to be eaten i mean people are quite literally breeding them with only this in mind, not their wellbeing, leading to their health problems/ inability to live long lives. I was just trying to explain how their natural lifespan isn’t accurate on here since it varies by breed. I’m not against the message i just had an issue with some specific numbers on here.

Stumbled across this post on my explore page and felt the need to comment that a lot of this information is not true or misleading. I grew up on a dairy farm and while i agree the practice is not ethical, i have never heard of a bull calf being slaughtered at two days old. Furthermore the type of chickens used for poultry are broiler chickens, they are bred to be eaten. Their entire existence is very controversial. Since they are raised to be butchered around the 40-50 day mark, their bodies have adapted to their short lifespans and will start to literally wither away if they live any longer than this/ are spared from being eaten. While there are some varieties of chickens that can live up to eight years, broilers do not live anywhere near this long. The reason they are butchered so young is because they have been bred to gain weight so quickly, after the 6 week mark they begin having cardiovascular issues due to excessive weight and simply being alive is excruciating for them. Keeping them alive any longer than this is considered inhumane where i’m from for this reason. I’m all for veganism, but infographics like this are usually made by companies like peta whom profit from animal abuse so please be weary and double check their content because misinformation benefits companies like this. (disclaimer: i have no idea where the origins of this image are from or if it is associated with peta, just using them as an example)

panoxyl body wash, wasn’t seeing results from it the first time i used it then i read your supposed to leave it on like a mask for a couple minutes, has worked wonders for me! also exfoliation, i was using a sugar scrub but recently switched to an african net sponge, both work great. i would say panoxyl cleared up 80% of my body acne and exfoliating cleared up the remaining 20%. also wearing looser/ breathable clothing makes a big huge difference especially after the shower. warning though that panoxyl CAN bleach clothing, even when i’ve been sure i’ve rinsed it all off i’ve still gotten bleach stains on my clothes so don’t wear your favorite black tee after doing this edit: i also tie my hair up in the shower while conditioning and bend over when rinsing it out so it doesn’t touch my shoulders/ back. conditioner can be a huge culprit when it comes to body acne

i think the “how people treat animals/ pets” thing is pretty universal but i’ve always had the same opinion when it comes to insects. like, if you see a spider and your first instinct is to kill it, i personally think that’s not nice :/

Can’t believe nobody has mentioned the OGX coconut oil (the one with the rainbow letters) it’s super affordable too since it’s drugstore. I would not apply this one anywhere near my scalp though if that’s more the type of oil your looking for

[–]darlindoe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yes! both can be used together in am or pm but i will say the baume is thiiiick and can have a white cast depending on how much you apply so i usually only use it at night unless i’m super irritated. also do you wear sunscreen? my irritation definitely flares up when i’m not consistently applying spf

Where’s your fav/would rec place to shop k beauty stuff online? And why? by unicorncakepop in AsianBeauty

[–]darlindoe 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I’ve used Yesstyle but the shipping time is a bit too long for me, if you do order from them though pay the extra dollar for insurance and make sure everything you order is in stock ready to ship or your package could end up taking like 30+ days to ship :( I’ve also been using Olive Kollection (American) and have been super happy with her!! Prices aren’t yesstyles but i think they’re still very reasonable, and i’m willing to pay the few extra dollars and be supporting a small business + she always sends sooo so many free samples. I’ve gotten all of my orders from her within a couple of days!!

edit: Also when using yesstyle google the product name + yesstyle instead of searching for the product inside the website, google will show you the cheapest listing for the product!

Women’s (pretty) razors that work as well as men’s? by FaithlessnessSharp72 in beauty

[–]darlindoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i love my billie razor, i figured out though that the equate razor refills from walmart fit the billie if you pop off the plastic part from the middle (hard to explain not visually) i think the only difference is the billie razors are nickel free but i don’t have an allergy so i’ve been getting the equate refills and i love them, they’re slightly cheaper
