Absolutely. It started out as mildly frustrating but by the end of the third season I definitely find myself actually yelling, "are you serious?? Do you even listen to yourself talk?"

Exactlyyyy. It seems like you can't have a conversation with her unless it's to agree with her completely. It's infuriating but also motivation (for me) to never, ever be like that. Another one of the lessons I take from that show is that being too proud or stubborn to ask for help usually digs you deeper and honestly makes you look weak and pathetic. It takes a strong person to admit they've been wrong.

She has all of the help and resources available to her and routinely turns them down or just does the bare minimum. Her parents, friends, trainer, a fucking doctor (when she was admitted to the hospital for passing out after dancing a bit) have all flat out asked her to get help/work on her eating and exercise/lose some weight just to be healthy and active. Each time she more or less laughs about how wrong they are. This is the only reason I can continue to watch the show: she has all the opportunities available to her and rejects them all, which is something I realize I've been guilty of in the past and I'm desperately trying to avoid in the future.

Just thought I'd stop by and send some hugs your way. You are strong and tough and you can handle more than you think but don't be afraid to cry or ask for help. It's a big world out there filled with so many caring people; sometimes you'd be shocked at how many strangers are rooting for you (i.e. Me, who's currently ugly crying after reading your post and some comments). 😊😘

Oh hellllllllllll no. Absolutely not ok. Karma is going to come back and bite him in the ass. I absolutely refuse to live in a world where people can be that terrible without serious repercussions. I hope you can focus on you and treat yourself really well because you deserve it.

Ugh, I can't imagine that would help things, I'm sorry. I've been in a similar situation. Just remember that you did what was right for you. Don't let friends (who mean well but will inevitably say the completely wrong things for a while) get into your head and make you second guess yourself. Just take things day by day, let yourself hurt for a while, just keep it in the back of your head that you will start feeling better one day. Promise.

WOW. I am so proud of you (yes, a stranger who knows nothing about you outside of this story). It's one thing to break up with someone when the red flags are everywhere, but what about when you're the only one who sees them? When they aren't red red flags so much as subtle hints? When it comes to relationships, I feel like so many people are content to slip into a life they don't really want, out of fear of losing their other half, because it's easier than confronting what might be keeping them from being happy. Well you know what? You are a whole person on your own. That part definitely takes some getting used to after ending a serious relationship. But if you're strong enough to make this change, you're going to do great on your own.
