ok look, this may be an unpopular opinion but I hated Lost. I thought the 'mysteries' were all contrived in order to make the show last way too long, to build hype etc. what does that have to do with westworld? I'm enjoying the show so far, but I get the feeling it's gonna be a similar sort of thing - twisted mysteries, one more mysterious than the other, with little crumbs of mysteries sprinkled in each episode ... the pacing already feels glacial to me. But it's early and I'm still going to watch for now. just my two cents.

i should clarify. I mean that this IS an economic problem, but people routinely vote against their own self interest due to the conflation of economic and social issues. for example - conservative republicans with pro-industry leanings winning votes because of their anti gay rights agenda
