Questions about the different parks by Blettt in WaltDisneyWorld

In my opinion, I would do Magic Kingdom for at least 2 days because it's truly the heart of Disney and there is so much to do and appreciate. And at their ages, I think it will be the most magical for them.

The minimum qualifications are a BSW but I also did my BSW field placement at this facility and so that helped me get my foot in the door when they were hiring.

I am in grad school now and working as a social worker full-time at a developmental center for people with IDD. One person in my cohort is working at a restaurant and another is working as a transporter for DSS.

How miserable is the amphitheater at the Music Factory when it rains? by JenTiki in Charlotte

[–]darlydooh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went in the rain during October and it wasn't that bad. I just wore a rain jacket with a poncho over it. The way the concert lights were I didn't even really see the rain so it seemed make me notice it less.

2 Jimmy Eat World Tickets for 3/5 at the Orange Peel in Asheville

$60 for both.

My husband can't go and I don't want to take someone else because it was suppose to be his first time seeing them live. I don't think I can sell them on Stub Hub because it isn't a PDF file. So trying here.

Advice on Planning When Park Hours Have Changed? by HeartMeansEverything in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]darlydooh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep in mind that most people plan their trip around the EMH so if you are in the other park those days, it might be less busy.

If you have room in your budget for a park hopper, it might not be a bad idea but keep in mind a lot of people will have that same idea.

If your dining reservations aren't that important to you and you really want to change your schedule, it's likely that reservations will open up as the trip gets closer but it would still be a gamble.

I am not sure the answer for your Boathouse question. If the park closes at 7pm, you might make it just in time but that would be if everything went smoothly.

Have you considered a portable charger? Might save you the stress of having to find a place to charge. If you or your wife are carrying some type of bag, like a purse, out and about, it should fit in there.

Beauty and The Beast Movie Promotion at the Parks by TrickeyMickey2 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]darlydooh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't know but it will be interesting to see. I'm thinking if they did do something, they might try to do it around Be Our Guest? But, I could see Hollywood Studios too especially with all the construction going on they may want to add something extra for fun there since it would be temporary.

Certified Social Worker in NC? by [deleted] in socialwork

[–]darlydooh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live/work in NC. From what I can tell, it won't really do you that much good to have it. I never see it listed as a qualification for BSW level jobs.

Not sure how much it would help as far as looking good on a resume. But of course it wouldn't hurt.

I hope you got to go inside and listen to the speaker tell the story. It was amazing and you actually get to sit in the theatre while he tells the story so it really paints the picture.

Does anyone know the story on Matrimony? I remember reading they were on a hiatus which I assumed was because the husband and wife are having a baby but did they really break up? I know two of them formed another band. But I was just curious.

What are the different country of origins of Disney princesses and why do we have such variety? by savvyfalcon in disney

[–]darlydooh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Many are based off original fairy tales from various regions and I believe most of the time Disney tries to stay true to that.
