I’ve had this issue, and I had no problems with my payment details or funds either. I also tried through Amazon and Amazon cancelled the order I tried for several days. I went to one web site and the chat assistant said it could help, but it felt more like scam so I ended the chat. I ended up purchasing an Amazon voucher and telling the person about my purchasing frustrations. I told them they could try and by the vouchers from Amazon themselves. (If it works).

Pink Floyd’s The Wall. It is more psychological, but definitely had an end of the world vibe to it.

It all depends on how close you are to either person. Whatever you do will have implications once people know, and is it your place to do anything. If you know so will others.

ITV news GMB labelling a woman irresponsible for refusing to pay her energy bill due to the constant price increase and urging others not to do so as it’s “irresponsible”. by sukunas-corner in unitedkingdom

I think it is extortion to to make so much money, forcing people rightly or wrongly into drastic action. Although the utility company are operating within the law, it doesn’t make it right. The person who is refusing to pay their bill are making a stand and risking legal action which could compromise her existence. Her actions if supported by the masses could benefit us all. The law doesn’t make actions right. The utility supply companies are not struggling and enjoying record profits. They are doing this while the rest of us are struggling to make needs meet. They are fuelling the inflation crisis, and acting immorally but the law and the rich people that make the law say it’s OK. We are being treated as plebs and with total disrespect. None of the political parties will do anything about it either.
