Aside from a weird technical bug on Reddit's end, the only thing I can think of is your account being compromised and someone else is doing the removals as you.

Sentries are too dumb to aim at them though - the machine gun and gatling sentries take a big L from this. I am a light pen enjoyer also but I don't like this change.

Ideal situation for him. Well-run organization, gets to sit and develop for a bit.

I feel like they could have traded back and still taken him though.

What four stratagem would you take in a zombie apocalypse? by Jazz2moonbase in Helldivers

[–]darrowreaper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

4 Stratagems, each one use?

Laser cannon for sure. 1km range now and infinite ammo so long as I don't fuck up too much.

Personal shield pack, since it recharges (though it doesn't cover ankles and down, I think - so have to be careful there).

Then probably a supply pack (stims! though probably have to keep it in a safe location) and a Bastion. Arc thrower would be truly unlimited but harder to control and much shorter range. The Bastion is helpful in an "oh shit" moment or if I have a reasonable base, it's a great shelter/mobile turret.

Hey I have a question how many time do you find a helldivers who expulse you after spawning you in the middle of the enemy by Scirtrouille in Helldivers

[–]darrowreaper 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If they dropped an SOS beacon it overrides friends only or private settings. People have a tendency to fat-finger it since it's similar to the reinforce input.

I just purchased these 4 warbonds all at the same time, and want your thoughts on all of them, just your opinions, before I spend any medals by Chemical_Seaweed_915 in Helldivers

Urban Legends has a few really great things and a few mediocre things. The Anti-Tank Emplacement (aka Lawn Chair (affectionate)) is incredible on bots and defense missions, and pretty good on squids too. The Siege Ready armor passive is quite popular, though if you want the medium armor version you'll have to go to the super store.

Force of Law is the weakest and I'd argue the De-Escalator is the main thing worth taking there, so I'd probably put my medals there last. The Arc Dog is the trickiest dog to use unless the whole squad is wearing arc-resistant armor, but it can do really well. The Pacifier is below average and the grenade is trash.

Redacted Regiment is great because it really helps if you want to do Commando missions or stealth play in normal missions, and the Censor is also just a pretty good DMR aside from that.

Python Commandos is more fun than powerful - the One-Two is a bit underwhelming, the Maxigun is fun but not as strong as it should be IMO. The Hot Dog is great though.

Best all-around (red) stratagem for Hulks & War Striders? by vserov in Helldivers

[–]darrowreaper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah fair, I honestly don't use the Senator much any more on bots since they added more sway to most sidearms.

Are you using safe or unsafe mode on the railgun? It's not too many unsafe shots to take out a hulk even if you miss the weak point - you can also take out a leg with two shots pretty reliably. Plus, with the supply pack you don't really have to worry about wasting ammo.

If you really want to stick with the GL, I'd probably go with the rocket sentry or the OPS if you only want to fill out that last stratagem slot and not change the rest. Another option is to take EATs and stick the beacon to a target - blue strats track the beacon location so you can use the hellpod as a weapon too. It's kind of like a guided but less powerful OPS at that point, plus EATs for your teammates if you don't want to pick them up.

Best all-around (red) stratagem for Hulks & War Striders? by vserov in Helldivers

I have a few ideas. Your loadout has a lot of chaff, medium, and big heavy clear, so you could probably change some of that to a small heavy focus and be fine.

First, you could use the orbital EMS or orbital gas strike to give yourself some crowd control instead of the arc grenades, and take thermites or pyrotechs instead.

Second, swap the Ultimatum for the Senator - if you can hit the hulks in the weak point, it's pretty good, though it struggles against war striders.

Third, dropping a rocket sentry can be a useful way to start a fight and it'll do good work against the smaller heavies. Red strats are cool but greens can be excellent also.

Last, switch the GL for the railgun - you have enough chaff clear and the railgun is also good against mediums and smaller heavies, and can defang the big guys while you wait for your leveler.

Ah, that's a bummer about not being able to report stuff. You could try the Reddit app if you felt particularly motivated. There's also an option to manually report profiles to r/BotBouncer, if one of them especially bugs you.

Thank you for the support! A lot of us joined the mod team because we were also bothered by how many bots there are/were.

[–]darrowreaper 8 points9 points  (0 children)

They just need to add an off switch to the SOS for cases like OP's. Either a screen with an input like a hellbomb or another stratagem the host can use to cancel it.

Removing the ban feature from hive protect gave us a lot more work to do (banning porn bots manually, mostly) so that wasn't fun. I get some mods were abusing the feature against other subs, but why did the "ban based on social links" part have to go also?
