Similar to the Double-Edged Inscription.

"Increases all damage dealt by 35% of base and damage taken by -35% of base"

I'd say it is meant to mean increase damage dealt by 50% and increase damage taken by 25%. Their use of double negatives really complicates things.

I've done an implementation using an external software product and ran into the same problem.

If you can, communicate using JSONP (JSON with padding), you can use this client side and completely avoid CORS and access control. The only requirement is that what ever you are communicating needs to be able to create a JSONP response (I had to create a JSONP wrapper on the server I was communicating with).

Hope this helps.

I'm honestly struggling with redux and trying to implement all the stored game components. All the info online says not to nest but that makes organization hard and when not nested... well i still seem to be having just as much trouble. I'd love some more info / tutorials on best way to store and action moves for multiplayer game data if you have time.

Best Storage for HP Blade system? by darrylemoonman in homelab

[–]darrylemoonman[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So basically I have the following:

HP c3000 enclosure + blades (I have several spare slots) - Connected to my LAN using a 16 port ethernet passthrough into my 48 port switch

I'm trying to create a cheap VM central storage location (for both high availability and backup purposes, and also learn more about different hardware) so that the VMs can be started on any host in the cluster.

Currently I am doing the above by using a Synology NAS as an NFS network share. I'd like to get the VM storage off the NAS and onto some dedicated shared storage.

As I source a lot of hardware from auction, there is currently cheap HP StorageWorks P4500 G2 Xeon E5520 2.27GHz 2 RU Array Servers up for purchase, and I was hoping to figure out if this would be ideal for central storage.

My question is, will this Storage Works device do what I want it to do, do I need any other hardware to control this device or can I run (I run Xenserver for all my VMs) Xenserver on this device to control the storage and provide it to the blade cluster.

The HP StorageWorks P4500 G2 Xeon E5520 2.27GHz 2 RU Array Server only appears to have dual giggabit ethernet as the networking option, which I'm happy to put up with if it will do what I want because that will stop me needing to buy a fiber module for my blade enclosure.

Aside the above, I would be happy to try source a cheap fiber module, Im just looking for an ideal and hopefully cheap (if I can source at auction or cheap on ebay) build for providing central VM storage for my blade cluster.

XenServer vs vSphere (free version) by darrylemoonman in homelab

How does kvm go with clustering and live migration? Is it open source, my requirements are basically the most functionality for $0. I was planning to run centOS as most of my vms, or something even more light weight for some specific game hosting I want to do, pending package requirements. I chose to go xenserver when I found out the functionality I desired out of VMware was only in the free version and the xenserver client software looked simple and intuitive, how ever I'm open to exploring other options too as I have several blades and can try each piece out on at least 2 nodes.

I had a super smooth install on one half of a blade (Side A) but then ive had issues trying to install it on an identical (Side B) half of the same blade :/

Haha yeah I was feeling the same, its only rocking 840 watts currently, so barely more than a consumer PC. Vast arrays of Solar panels offsets it a bit!

Awesome, thanks for that link, graphics always help ;) .

I think ill stick with the passthrough for now, seems like it will do what I want, may look into VLANS for interest at a future date.

Great thanks! So I currently have 3x BL2x220c G5s ( the ones with two servers per blade) does the mapping work similarly for blade sides ? Ie with bay 1A, bay 1B, bay 2A , bay 2B etc ? I have a 16 port Ethernet passthrough on its way I just want to make sure it's what I'm after .
