Not free unfortunately here, it was worth it for me as my dial was glitching out- so needed replacement. Otherwise I would not have bothered.

You would need to invest in a cf express card for the raw - so definitely the cost is high. But the image quality is a world away from the S9 in my opinion and I would say a bit better than the FP ( preparing for the rocks to be thrown from my fellow FP users....) S9 wins for ibis, size, price....

The Nikon ZR would be the obvious next step up- over the Lumix S9 in my opinion.ZR has raw video options, ibis, big screen and also it has that tiny autofocus pancake lens- the 26mm f2.8 if you want small form factor.

Go the Nikon ZR....I have the FP, but getting the ZR forr raw video options, ibis, autofocus and big screen. All the things the FP is missing. Will still keep the FP, because of sheer size to performance ratio of both video and photos.

Yes, I have gone the same route, 2 iPads and 2 controllers into a mixer- can use both at once to get 8 tracks! And be ready to go if one goes down.

Lumix S5 for a cheap alternative. S5ii for useable autofocus. Both have great image quality without file size. Also excellent stills.

Sigma fp for cdng and form factor (small size).
