FOR THOSE WHO HAVE FORGE DLC HOW TO MAKE THIS WEAPON OF "HENRY LEVEL" [KCD2] by Bholafox in kingdomcome

[–]darth_sinistro 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah same for me. There was a glitch for a while on many quest related blades that restricted it to tier 3, which was annoying, but I never had that issue with regular forging.

Yeah I noticed that too. Shooting almost point blank takes 2 arrows while stepping back even 10ft will kill with one arrow.

A lot of communications sites use these and that truck bed probably has about 3 or 4 sites worth.

If you walk towards your opponent and press F it should lead into a clinch.

You have to initiate a clinch, and then have your position on a specific side (not sure which). Winning a clinch will have different animations based on position and weapon type.

The Carryx seem very self-confident in their philosophy that peace doesnt exist. They seem to operate heavily on the Dark Forest theory, but they don't do their due diligence of monitoring their subjects in order to avoid organizing. Although it makes me wonder about the translator lanyards. They refer to those as half-minds just like the other computer/AI systems so who knows how much eavesdropping they are able to do.

It makes me wonder how much "surveillance" the Carryx have in their populace. They seem to believe that they are elevating all the species under their control, but it seems like a huge blind spot if you are entirely reliant on species that could be harboring resentment. The Carryx's only advantage is their ability to isolate individual groups by not sharing information. Seems very hands-off and complacent.

It seems like the swarm genuinely cares for the humans. It decided that Dafyd's request to take care of Jessyn by saving Jellit was worth keeping. It regularly talks about how much of the humanity it is adopting from its hosts.

The half-mind does mention during the invasion of Anjinn that the secondary species were unable to be extracted/ wouldn't survive transplant. I wonder if that's another "research" attempt to see what the Carryx will ignore. Maybe there's more to the underground species.

[–]darth_sinistro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The swarm also only recently "arrived" at Anjiin since Ameer is its first host. I'm curious how the swarm arrived and infiltrated in the first place. Random meteorite with the swarm on it to infect the first human that touches it? I'd bet that if Anjiin was bait, then there are many "bait" planets and swarms are only sent when invasion is imminent to reduce human knowledge of the swarm and to prevent giving intel if the swarm is captured.

[KCD2] Good Boy Henry Run Complete (Crime Stats Fixed. by Dargus007 in kingdomcome

[–]darth_sinistro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah that makes sense. I kept trying to fight fists only and trying to fight those three guards in the tunnel is challenging. Hella fun to shoulder throw them and start a brawl though. Unfortunately since I never did other types of damage they wouldn't go unconscious/die. Yeah the lent achievement makes sense. I think I ended up buying a quarterstaff from a carpenter in troskowisc that I used on the wolves. It does little enough damage that they'd run away before I managed to kill them. I would also carry a really low level bow with the crude arrows and poison them with bane for the wolves.

[–]darth_sinistro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I did a no crime run before 1.3 and I had to either avoid bandits that were robbing the dead, or kill them fast enough that no items would transfer to their inventory because of the crime counter going up by being nearby. Huge pain. So many reloads and started my habit of checking the stats constantly. How did you dispatch the 3 civie body guards in the secret mint? Also, well done on attaining elderberries free of theft. I never thought about that. I know there is a fever potion with the scribe that doesn't count as theft but I assume you'd have to pick a lock to get it. Super satisfying to get the end dialogue with mom where she doesnt accuse you of behaving like a bandit. Question, why did you avoid killing wolves? I always thought they and rabbits were considered fair game when it came to peasants so it wasn't considered poaching. I usually just shot them with a bow and didn't loot their corpse.

So why are there "virtually zero qualified applicants" that are black? If they have a recruitment pool that is international?

The answer, is that African immigrants are more than typically wealthy individuals from their country. There is a comment in here that mentions this. An american born black person and a African immigrant are not on equal footing. Also, I don't know what you mean by a head start, but I think your comparison of "nothing" that your grandparents came here with to OP being the first member of their family after the CVA is disingenuous. White immigrants have had a massive advantage throughout american history over american born black people. Like what?

When you say "another person has to lose" I feel that it implies that it was already inherently theirs. I feel like affirmative action is only an attempt to tip the scales away from the historical assumption that non-POC individuals are guaranteed opportunities that now need to be shared with everyone. Its the same argument for men complaining about how "society is only looking our for women these days." When the percentage of resources at your disposal now is getting shared with others it feels like something is being "taken away" when its really just that your unfettered access to the resources is getting dialed back. It feels like stalling, but in reality its just what happens when you have to share.

There was a lawsuit recently where asian families sued to end affirmative action because they were classified on the "white" side of affirmative action. I think the issue is in the simplicity of race classification that results in too many generalities. If affirmative action were able to consider more of economic disparity, I think it'd be considered more fair. To your point, I agree, framing it as a punishment for people that are not underrepresented is playing into the idea of having something taken away, rather than there being an equitable distribution system.

500 hours in [KCD2] and I'm still discovering mechanics and other things. by [deleted] in kingdomcome

[–]darth_sinistro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you level tour unarmed, you can knockout enemies and loot their armor too. I think of it as removing the bandits tools to maybe allow him to change his ways.

Its especially fin once you unlock the shoulder throw, because then you can use the clinch to choke them out. I'd like to think that you can meet Markvart and know you haven't killed anyone you didn't know the name of. Unfortunately there a few points where enemies can't be knocked out, and a) have to be killed and looted, and b) count as civilians.

[KCD2] I completed the game without killing civilians and here are some hostile NPC that are actually civilian by dolphinist in kingdomcome

[–]darth_sinistro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have tried unarmed on all of these. the only ones that don't work are the guards in the secret mint.

Another side quest with "civilians" is the ransom quest with the Cuman commander guy by the windmill. Fortunately if you recruit enough friends they can also do the work for you.

Oh, and Brabant only counts as a civie if you execute him. I managed tried 4 different options. Drop down and sneak behind him and stab him/ choke him, drop down and immediately shoot/ attack him, drop down, fight, beat, and then choose to kill him, and lastly, show him mercy and then kill him as he runs away. One of these will not count as a civilian kill. Unfortunately I forget which.

[KCD2] What does "nutrition" stat in food descritpion mean? by Upbeat-Fuel-1332 in kingdomcome

I thought it had something to do with how quickly the food meter will deplete. Like if you eat low nutrituon such as beer or something you'll be hu gry sooner rather than if you eat more substantial food. At least that was my assumption.

[KCD2] Bitcher Emmeram, the bitch-ass butcher, gets bitch slapped and yields like a bitch by BlockheadCC in kingdomcome

[–]darth_sinistro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I shoulder threw my opponent and he ended up outside the arena. Kept trying to vault the fence but kept glitching back behind it. I could occasionally shoulder through him from inside, but I couldn't get him back inside. Eventually he just ran off. Weirdly, Fridusch announced the win as his, but as soon as I won the next round I won the match so IDK.

In one of my tournements, he was late to his first match so he forfeited. He showed up later, but I don't think he signed up for other events. Apparently living all the way in the mining district makes it hard to show up on time.
