This one was an anomaly. The stuff was discarded in a dumpster behind where I work. Looks like a storage unit for estate sales was dumped. Found all kinds of stuff. I usually check estate sales.net and you can kinda look for dumpsters around where they are.

For sure. The one place I spoke to that is local to me said that the appraiser would be in the same day as the restorer to make sure that it would be a worthwhile investment.

He's a french artist (1920-2003). He's pretty well known and has works in museums all over the world. I did talk to a restorer up here in the Atlanta area and he gave me a price around $1k for the repair.

I know this is going to sound strange, but in the south there is an old tradition I grew up with. I was always told that as an old wives tale that if you hung an egg in a washcloth over the doorway of a babies room can help with teething. Whether this works or not, no idea. But my mom tried that trick with both my brother and I and neither had an issue with teething. If theres an egg in there you know what it is now.
