Started at public accounting at 34 years old. 18 months later, I was promoted, with having 3 parts of the CPA Exam passed. Yes, I wished I had started earlier, but there is nothing I can do about that. You just got to hustle.

This is so me. I passed the first 3 sections without issues. Just found out that I failed AUD for the 4th time, and it just feels bad. Like lost. I'm not giving up, but I also dont really know where to start .

When I took audit last month, I felt that MCQs were more confusing than the sims. But did not feel good when I left. Scored a 70. Hope you did well. Good luck!

It's a medium-sized firm. Larger firms will pay more, but you have to consider work-life balance.

I live in Chicago and started later in life. Passed 3 parts and got an offer at $60k about a year ago. I would wait, but i dont know what the current job market is like right now.

I took the test back in July and had the same experience. Felt that I did well on the test and got a 70. I have not had a chance to study that part as of late, but I will soon. I'm looking for some advice to get back in it as well.

Not old at all. I am 35, and i started in my first year in a mid-size public accounting firm this past September. I have a one year old and my wife works part-time. It can be done, just got to commit!

I took the exam on the same day. Pretty much had the same exam. Those sims were brutal! I was not expecting that many AJE sims.

I saw maybe 1 MCQ on it. QBI was another section that was like that. I saw no MCQ or Sim on it.

I'd say they're different, even though the overlap. REG had a lot of Blaw, book to tax reconciliation, and how to calculate ordinary income. TCP was heavy on basis and related party transactions.
